Edinburgh adventure

This is a bit different from my usual posts, and I hope you don't mind but I thought I would share with you my experiences from Edinburgh. I wanted to do this as it is a city I always wanted to visit and I'm so glad I did and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a City short break.

While we were in Edinburgh we did tonnes of walking and sightseeing and as the city is very hilly there are loads of steps which means are our legs where killing us but also means there are some great views,

Edinburgh is an historical city with some beautiful buildings and lots of cobbled hilly streets and steep staircases which makes it very different from flat Norfolk where I live.

A cute building

Edinburgh has plenty of buses and a tram route which makes it easy to get round and helps save your legs a bit lol! We packed so much into our 3 days thanks to the transport system including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal mile , Holyrood Palace , the parliament buildings, Arthur's seat and the Royal Yacht Britannia.

Of course also in Edinburgh as you would expect there are loads of old fashioned Scottish pubs where you can take a rest and grab a drink or something to eat in between shopping and sightseeing.

We ate loads of great food while we were away including Fish and chips in a pub , Pulled pork sandwich in a cafe and a Scone, clotted cream & jam on the Royal Yacht in there beautiful tea rooms, but of course when you visit Scotland you have to try a deep fried Mars bar !!

Which was surprisingly good lol! All in all we had a great few days in Edinburgh and would highly recommend a visit, for us the highlight was Britannia and we really enjoyed the insight into how the Queen lived on board. But I can honestly say there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy about the city and there really is plenty to see and do.

I hope you enjoyed this post about my trip I really enjoyed sharing it with you.
