Beauty - July Favourites

July favourites featuring mac tanya burr benifit lottie london

Hey lovelies,
Its that time again another month has past, July has been a mixed bag for me, my youngest son needing surgery and staying in hospital, and my eldest getting an unconditional Uni offer, so as ever its always interesting in my household haha!
Anyway onto my beauty favourite's for this past month......

Everyone is getting in on the liquid lipstick act at the moment and this offering from Tanya Burr cosmetics, Martha Moo has pleasantly surprised me, I wasn't expecting it to be so good but it really is a gorgeous shade that stays put, plus smells lush to boot.
Sticking with lips I am really getting into lipliners at the mo, so just had to invest in bloggers fav Mac Soar a gorgeous Mauve shade, you can catch a post featuring it here.

Also from Mac a recent addition to my collection is Mineralize skinfinish a gorgeous natural finish powder for setting your makeup, I love this powder its so nice and gives a nice finish to my skin never going cakey.

Recently in magazines there have been various samples from benifits new brow range and my fav has been Gimme brow in shade 5, this is just so easy, just use the wand to brush through your brows its as simple as that, and perfect for me as my brows don't need to much work as already have thick dark brows.

Lastly Lottie London's Soap star brush cleaner is one the best discoveries ever as it makes brush cleaning so quick and easy you can see a full review of that here but trust me you need to try this stuff.

So there you have July's favourites, what's been your favourites this month?

Beauty - Brand focus Soap & Glory

Soap & Glory brand focus

Hey lovelies,
I have something a little different today for you, a brand focus on one of my fav high street brands, good ol Soap & Glory, I have been using there products for years and I am always trying out new bits from them, today I'm gonna share my current go to's from the product range. Although this will probably change. when I try something new haha!

Some of these current fav's I received for my birthday, in the Soap & Glory Birthday tin, including the Scrub of your life, now I have always liked the scrubs that come in the pots but not tried this before not sure if its new, but its so much easier to use in the shower, not as wasteful as I always spill some when I use the tubs, and of course it smells nice and makes my skin feel soft, so win win!
Also from the tin Clean on me shower gel, There is not one shower gel from Soap & glory I haven't liked and this is no exception, this little beauty with its built in body lotion leaves my skin soft with minimal effort from me, which is all good as I am super lazy when it comes to body moisterising.

Now if I could only ever use one Soap & Glory product again it would be hand Food, I love this stuff it comes in a few different scents all are lovely and the mini ones are so handy I always have one next to my bed and one in my handbag, as I have a thing about my hands feeling dry I hate it.
Another essential for me is Heel genius great if like me you are on your feet all day and get that dreaded hard skin on your heels this stuff sorts you right out.

Lastly on to makeup. I must admit I haven't tried so much of the range when it comes to makeup, but I do love these little beauties, if you have read my blog before you will know that the Thick and fast HD mascara is my holy grail mascara and I have re- purchased a few times and still love how black, thick and long my lashes look when I use it.
Lastly to lips Sexy Mother pucker gloss stick in the shade nudist is great for "No" makeup days when you just want a slick of barely there gloss on your lips, that also feels hydrating.

So there you have my go to Soap & Glory products, is there anything I need to be trying? let me know in the comments your favourites.

Beauty - Brush cleaning with Lottie London

Lottie London soap star review

Hey lovelies,
I dunno bout you but brush cleaning time was always something I hated, a necessary evil I would always try to put off as long as possible. That is until when I was searching Superdrugs website a few weeks back, when they had one of there cheeky 3 for 2 offers and found this Lottie London soap star brush cleanser, and decided to give it a whirl.

Now this solid brush cleaner couldn't be simpler to use, simply wet your brush under the tap, swirl over the solid soap, then rinse under the tap again, super quick super easy, and makes cleaning your brushes a chore no more. I am so impressed with this product I cannot recommend it enough.
I literally cleaned all my brushes in about 5 minutes, even my husband was impressed haha.

So if you to hate brush cleaning defo check this out and I think its still on the 3 for 2 now!

Beauty - Another lip of the day

NYX soft matte lip cream stockholm

Hey lovelies,
I have another lip of the day post for you as you lot seemed to like my last offering you can catch that here if you missed it.
This pairing is perfect if you, like me are loving the slightly 90's look that's everywhere now. A matte brownish lip, is the lip colour to wear at the moment and I am loving these pair for doing just that.

First up I fill in my entire lips with Revlon colorstay lipliner in Natural this give my lips a good base and helps the NYX soft matte lip cream in Stockholm to stay put longer on my lips.
I love the NYX lip creams, there is a great colour selection and they feel comfy on the lips, they are not the most long lasting lipsticks but don't need to many touch ups throughout the day, just after eating really.

Do you like the 90's lip look ? let me know in the comments

Beauty - My favourite eyeshadow palettes

Tarte Mac The balm makeup revolution

Hey lovelies,
The other day while online window shopping, lusting after every palette I don't own but truly need, eg; Naked1 and sweet peach, I started thinking about the cool palettes I already have and thought I would share with you the four I reach for the most, and use on a daily basis.

My most recent edition and absolute love the Tarte Tartlette 2 in bloom, I absolutely adore this palette, the colours are stunning the formula amazing and the packaging top quality, I literally reach for this little beauty almost every day. I wrote a full review with swatches, so if you like the look of it be sure to check that here.

I love Mac and I recently completed this little quad with four shades I use all the time, I love how with Mac you can make your own either small or larger palette, with colour's you will use, cause we all know there is usually at least one in the palette we just don't like. The four shades I have are All that glitters, woodwinked, coppering and naked lunch, shades that work well together.

If you have read my blog before you would of read me bang on about the balm nude tude palette as this is another of my firm favourite's, I adore the quirky packaging which despite being cardboard is really steardy, the quality of the eyeshadows is good even the glittery ones stay put without fall out, you can read a full review of that here.

I couldn't mention my favourite palettes without giving a little mention to Makeup revolution, they may not be high end and expensive but they do make some really nice palettes and the flawless one I have has some really gorgeous shades that I use loads and love, and there palettes are such good value.

Let me know your favourite palettes in the comments.

Beauty - My skincare hero's

Garnier miscellar water . liz earle cleanse & polish olay regenerist

Hey lovelies,
I dunno bout you, but I was never really "into" skincare, I mean of course I used it but I had never really found my go to products, regularly chopping and changing brands. That is until I discovered my current and now, holy grain skincare products, I still wanna add products in like a decent mask to use weekly and maybe an eyecream, but I have found the basics and I am super happy with them.

First up is something that is by know means new, but I found is a necessary product and that's miscellar water, my favourite brand is the Garnier skin naturals miscellar water, I have tried a few but now stick with this one as it's the most effective at removing makeup especially mascara.

Next step is a 2nd cleanse with Liz Earle's cleanse & polish, this gives my skin a really deep down clean feeling, leaving my skin feeling amazingly fresh and soft, you can catch my full review here

Lastly moisteriser I discovered Olay regenerist luminous skin tone perfecting cream a few months back now, and I am so glad I did, it's a little on the pricey side but I think well worth it, for the results I have got from it, read my full review here.

So there you have it my skincare hero's, products that I will keep buying over and over. If any you lovelies can recommend a good eye cream to help plump up the dreaded dark circles and a good mask, that I can use weekly to treat my skin and give it a super deep clean that would be grand, feel free to comment below.
I know its quite a simple 3 step system I have and others of you will use loads of different products in your skincare routine, but this works for me..... and they are all my hero.

Fashion & Beauty July Wishlist

July wishlist

Hey lovelies,
I have a little wishlist for you, a little insight into just some of things I'm currently lusting after, Fashion wise I need a bardot top, what type of a blogger am I? I currently don't actually own one, I know I need one and this stripy number is right up my street.
As for beauty there are so many things I could of included but I have narrowed it down to the above choices, who can deny the beauty of the Becca x Jaclyn hill Champagne collection face palette and I feel I'm probably not the only blogger lusting after that little beauty. I'm also desperate to try Tanya Burr's Martha moo liquid lipstick it looks so pretty.
I'm also longing for a cinematic light box, how cute would this look in blog and Instagram pic's?  cliche I know but who cares !!

What's your favourite from my wishlist?
What are you lusting after right now?

Beauty - Lip of the day

Hey lovelies,
today I have something I haven't done before, but I enjoy these types of posts so thought I would get on that band wagon and share with you my fav lip combo of the moment.

Mac soar lipliner and brave lipstick

Now I love a mauve, pinky nude anytime of the year but especially in Summer when I like to keep my makeup lighter and fresher looking, so in comes Mac Brave and Soar together they make the perfect long lasting lip colour, I like to fill in my entire lips with soar then slick over a layer of Brave, this gives a gorgeous finish not matte but not satin somewhere in between.

Soar is the first Mac lip liner to join my makeup collection and I'm so glad I got it, it feels lovely on the lips not drying or dragging and I think It will go with so many of my lipsticks, I've already tried it with Mac's whirl too and I love it, for days when I won't a slightly bolder lip. As you can see I wore it with quite a fresh pinky toned makeup look but I think it would also look good with a darker more dramatic eye.

What Mac lip liners do I need next? I would love your recommendations lovelies.
