Fashion - Breaking the rules

Hey lovelies,

I have always been one for breaking the rules, well at least bending them. As a two year old I point blank refused to wear dresses, at school I adapted my uniform, you get the idea! I do not like being told what to wear and that includes not putting certain colours together. Apologies for showing you the same red denim skirt from a few weeks ago, but when I spotted this bright pink T Shirt in the Misguided sale, I just new I had to team it with the skirt.

You know what, I love it, and the white Ego* studded sliders just tone it down enough, keeping the outfit from being probably a bit to leary, or not depending on your opinion of pink and red together. Personally I'm loving it.

I've become a big fan of colourful outfits, and I love testing the boundaries and bending the rules, fashion should be fun, not restrictive, it should be expressive not restrictive.

What are your thoughts on fashion rules?

Hey lovelies,

Today is the day, that long awaited day when the Urban Decay* Naked heat palette is officially launched in the UK, so I thought I would share my first impressions and some swatches, so you can decide if you wanna get your paws on the Naked heat palette.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette

I am lucky enough to own a few of the Naked palettes, and they are firm favourites in my collection, so when I received the new Heat palette* I was thrilled. The Naked heat palette contains 12 NEW warm toned eyeshadows, from warm browns and neutrals to stunning glimmering copper and bronze shades. The pigmentation is fab especially the shimmer shades my favourites are scorched and dirty talk. The formula is buttery, and the shades blend like a dream. The quality is as I would expect from Urban Decay, and the shades right up my street as I love me some warm tones.

The Naked Heat palette is available from July 27th from Urban Decay. co. uk for £39.50

Beauty - Joan Collins Class Act lash treatment gel review

Joan Collins class act lash treatment

Joan Collins class act lash treatment

Joan Collins class act lash treatment

Hey lovelies,

Now I have been pretty lucky when it comes to lashes, mine are naturally dark and not a bad length, but of course I want more, I am a woman we always want more. So when I had the opportunity to try a lash treatment that promised to make my lashes, not only longer, but thicker and healthier, I needed to try it.
Class Act lash treatment* looks like a mascara, but is a clear serum that is applied to the lashes once a day either in the evening, or under mascara during the day, the only issue I had with this product was remembering to use it, apart from that it's quick and straightforward.
The Class Act lash treatment* contains sea and plant extracts that stimulate lashes to grow longer, quicker and thicker.

So does it work? I have been using this product for a little over a month, when I remember to use it. I have noticed some changes, it's very hard to tell if my lashes are longer, but they are definitely thicker and fuller looking, and I seem to be not losing as many lashes as normal. Overall I think the appearance of my lashes has improved, and I intend to carry on using it, to see if I get any further improvements.

You can buy Class act lash treatment from the Joan Collins beauty website, or conveniently in Marks & Spencer for £20.

Fashion - moving into colour

Matalan stripe cami

Hey lovelies,

This outfit is bright!. and it's a bit clashy, but I'm fine with that, you may of noticed recently a lot more colour has been appearing in my outfit posts. I dunno what has happened to me but this Summer time I have been drawn to more colour, you may of seen my red denim skirt, and the blue bardot top, both pieces I wouldn't normally buy. With this look I am embracing colour in a major way, right down to the gorgeous pink shoes.

Beauty - Impress Press on manicure one step gel nails review + giveaway

Impress press on manicure one step gel nails

Hey lovelies,

Now I love to have painted nails, and have tonnes of nail polishes, but I am super lazy at keeping my nails neat and I am often guilty of having chipped nails, plus I have zero artistic skills so can not do pretty designs, or be bothered to spend ages to wait for nails to dry.
That's where these Impress press on manicure one step Gel nails* come in, they are super quick to put on and come in a range of Summer designs. I have these pretty burgandy and glitter gold set, that would also be nice for Autumn as well as Summer.

So if you off out this Summer time, whether to a festival, beach or just the beer garden, you can have cute af nails, quickly. Each pack of Impress Gel nails* has 30 different size nails so you can have a perfect manicure in only a few minutes, and they are not too long so someone like me who naturally has short square nails, can still do things, something I struggle with with longer nail sets.
I love how there is no faffing with glue, and they are easy to put on and take off, without messing up my natural nails.

Impress press on manicure one step gel nails

The Impress one step Gel nails will be available exclusively in Superdrug from the 26th July for £7.99.

If you fancy owning a pack yourself, I have one set of IMPRESS one step gel nails ( as featured above) to give away. You can enter using the rafflecopter below.

One winner will be chosen at random, UK entrants only, good luck.
