Holy cow, Its the end of November, the Christmas build up is well and truly under way, and the weather has turned decidedly wintery, so I advice take a moment out of the madness, grab your hot beverage of choice and check out what beauty products made it into my favourites post this month.

I know you have seen my Z palette before, but as this is my favourites I had to share just how much I am still loving the shades I have in there, from both Freedom makeup and Makeup Geek, my most reached for shade is Grandstand the most gorgeous foiled gold shadow I wear this all the bloody time!

For lip products I have been reaching for a couple of lipsticks regularly both of which I have had for ages but have recently been rediscovered within my collection first up, is the ever favourite Velvet Teddy from Mac, a lush nude shade, I won't go on about it, everyone know's about Velvet Teddy. I have been back into matte lipsticks recently, so my Kat Von Dee liquid lipstick in the shade Lovesick has been having a few outings, I only own the one shade from Kat's range but the quality is fab and I would love to add more colours to my collection.

Lastly for makeup I have been trying out a new primer this month and I have fallen for it big time, wonderland's studio finish primer*is one of the best primers I have ever used and I am not easily pleased when it comes to Primers.

My last favourite is a fragrance, Black Opium from YSL, is a scent I reach for every winter I love its dark glamorous fragrance with floral, black coffee and vanilla notes. Its such a sexy scent I love it.

Fashion - Styling dark denim jeans

You guys know I love denim and I practically always wear jeans, so this outfit will be no surprise, recently I have been after updating my jeans collection after noticing A, many of my jeans are starting to look a bit tired and B, I was lacking in the darker denim variety. After ordering a pair over Cyber weekend and them being so small I could barely get them on even though they were meant to be my size, I came across these beauties in Dorothy Perkins sale and quickly snapped them up.

Jeans - Dorothy Perkins
Boots - Dorothy Perkins
Roll Neck - Dorothy Perkins (last year)
Leather Jacket - Asos (last year)
Backpack - Zara (black version)

I love how they are straight legged but not to rigid a denim, so you can still move about in them, they are rather long, here I have rolled them up, thinking about chopping some off the bottom, I'm still undecided. I think dark denim looks so nice with cream or white knitwear and this simple roll neck really fits the look I was going for, which was simple yet a little bit sophisticated, well as sophisticated as I can be !!

I also think they will look nice with a red jumper, which is most definitely on my Christmas list, in fact they will probs look pretty nice with most knitwear, and I'm thinking a crisp white shirt with dark denim also looks spot on.

Beauty - Wonderland Makeup is it any good ?

Wonderland makeup review

Wonderland makeup review

Now being a blogger has its perks, getting to try new brands and products is a pretty cool perk, so when I got the opportunity to try Wonderland makeup I of course was up for it.
Now here's a bit about the brand, their mission statement talks of them producing high end, cruelty free makeup at affordable prices.

High end makeup at affordable price

That caught my attention, I have been lucky enough to test 3 of their top selling products and now I'm gonna get on with answering the question is Wonderland Makeup any good?

Studio finish primer, right let's talk about this primer, I have tried a fair few primers and I don't like many tbh, in fact very few in my opinion actually make much difference. Now the Studio finish primer is a lightweight smooth silky oil free primer, it is clear in colour and you only need a very small amount to cover your entire face. It's applied simply with fingertips and this stuff immediately dries onto the skin leaving a really smooth finish to my face, but here's the good bit, it actually made a difference to how my makeup looks, my foundation glides on and blends easier and looks so much better, not only that my makeup stayed looking pretty good well into the evening which is something I always struggle with. So in conclusion this Primer is pretty damn good!

Loose pigment, now the Wonderdust loose pigment, is a multi purpose product that can be used both wet or dry on the eyes, lips and cheeks, I have the shade Champagne pink and personally I have only used it on the eyes, I have tried it both wet and dry but my favourite way to use it is, with a damp finger patted onto the eyelid, and it is stunning, super pigmented with very little fall out. The loose pigment comes in a tonne of colours so there is defo a shade that you will like.

Nail Polish, Now I have a lot of nail polishes, some better than others, and this Nail Polish is a pretty good offering, it goes on nicely and dries quickly, which for me is a bonus as I literally cannot stand waiting for my nails to dry. The other bonus for me is how long lasting a polish is, and this one lasted a good 3/4 days before I started getting some wear at the tips which again isn't bad at all and I have more expensive polishes that don't last as long.

So in essence Wonderland makeup is in my opinion good quality makeup and affordable prices and that can only be good.

Lifestyle - Do our phones get in the way of life?

The mobile phone does it get in the way of life?

The mobile phone as we know it now has only been around a few short years, but now can we imagine our lives without it? who remembers phones when all you could do was call or text? it's now unimaginable not to be able to check emails, take a selfie, scroll through twitter and even check the weather forecast........
But we did and we managed, and maybe we stressed a little less, we didn't have that constant feeling like we might of missed something.

I'm not saying the mobile phone is all bad, cause come on, we all now rely it to do the exact things that I mentioned above, but do we need to have it in our hands constantly checking, or should we, or could we be happier if we limited our phone usage, maybe after a certain time in the evening, so we could really unwind and relax. Maybe read a book, watch TV without missing bits because you were on your phone, how many of us do that without even realising until the show is over and you haven't a clue what happened. Or maybe we could actually interact with the people in our own front room!!

I know I'm guilty of being on my phone too much, and of missing snippets of conversations, because I was reading a tweet or commenting on an instagram post. So I think I should be taking my own advice, and try putting my phone out of sight for a couple of hours of an evening.

What do you think? Does the mobile phone get in the way of life?
