Marc Jacobs highliners reviewed

I recently received my first Voxbox since signing up to the @influenster app, and I was pretty chuffed to be selected to try some Marc Jacobs highliners, having never tried anything from the brand I was excited to get using them.

The Marc Jacobs matte highliners are gel eye crayons, they come in 12 shades from black to vibrant pink and blue shades, they are richly pigmented and glide on like a dream. The collection is very 80's inspired helping you to recreate the vibrant looks of the decade. Once applied the crayon takes 15/20 seconds to dry so if you are planning to blend it out do it quick cause once the highliner dries it ain't going know where, it's there for the day. Talking of blending out, the creamy formula means it blends a dream if you want to create a smokey eye. They also work beautifully in the water line or as a prefer on the lower lash line.

I have two shades (pop)ular a vibrant pink*, and Pink of me*, a paler muted pink shade, of the two (pop)ular is my favourite, and I have basically worn it none stop since I got it, I love wearing it with my Too faced sweet peach palette, I think the shades really compliment each other and help to make my green eyes pop. I must admit I have never worn anything this bright on my eyes, and never thought I would, but I am converted.

The Highliners are available from John Lewis and are £20 each.

Why I'm trying to care less

I have always been someone that worries, worries about what might happen, what did happen, what people think, do people like me?
And to be honest it's exhausting, over thinking about things that I don't even know the answers too, and for what? it has 0 impact on me, what people think. Worrying doesn't change the outcome of an event, so this year I have decided to try and give less of a shit!
Live more in the moment and enjoy situations and meeting people. It's hard it goes against the grain for me to be spontaneous, to not plan and worry about upcoming events but I am trying and I am going to continue to try.

It's the same with blogging, I worry people will think who does she think she is, when taking or posting photo's, she's to old to be doing that, or her makeup's crap, her outfits rubbish, and people may think all those things but who cares, I enjoy it and people seem to read my posts so I can't be a total laughing stock of the internet. Like my husband says, opinions are like arse holes, everyone has one!
Which is true, and I really do not have to let other peoples opinions effect me.

Lifestyle - Personalising my home with Printiki

Normally I'm not a fan of January, its a long month, its dark, cold and everyone is poor plus there is that massive anti climax from Christmas. This year however I have decided to treat the new year as a fresh start, an opportunity, an excuse to change some things up, and that includes my home, decluttering, cleaning and even some decorating. Now we don't have an home office as such but a desk in the corner of my conservatory, an area that required the aforementioned decluttering, and just generally made more aesthetically pleasing and personalised.
So when I had the opportunity to work with Printiki, I new what I wanted to do, I wanted to make a wall feature of photos of my favourite people and fun times. What is more inspiring than that?
Printiki
Printiki is so easy to use, you can upload pictures straight from your computer, a memory stick and even directly from instagram, you can choose traditional photo size or go for square like I have you can customise the border and order a variety of different style of photo's straight from your laptop or phone.

As my wall is brick  I cannot stick the photos straight on the wall, I purchased a mesh grid, which the Mr attached to the wall for me giving a cool industrial look. I also added a basket to keep camera equipment tidy and my Paris clock as Paris is the first city my husband and I visited.
Now our desk space feels fresh and is full of images of fond memories and fun times.

If you fancy adding some photos to your space, or making a scrapbook, maybe as a Valentines gift, for that special someone. I have a code that gets you free delivery on Printiki just pop in DT4TZ9XG in at the checkout.

Naipo Massage Cushion review

If you are a bit like me, and suffer with occasional back ache, maybe from decorating or gardening, or sitting to long at your desk, you might appreciate a massage, and lets face it there isn't always some one around to give you a back rub, that's when I have found the Naipo massage cushion* comes in handy, just pop it on the couch, grab a cuppa, turn it on and get that massage you have been after, it couldn't be simpler.
Naipo Massage Cushion review
The massage cushion has just one button so know confusing settings, its just massage or massage and heat. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy. When the cushion is not in use just turn it around and it looks just like a regular cushion, neet ha?
Naipo Massage Cushion review
The Naipo massage cushion is conveniently sold on Amazon, with Prime delivery, so there is no need to wait, and currently with code SARH5VZQ there is a whooping 25% off, so whether it's you or your partner or a parent, why not treat yourself or them to a satisfying massage.

How I have been wearing over the knee boots

Now, when it comes to footwear I have a problem, they are my weakness and I own an obscene amount of pairs, but something I didn't own was over the knee boots, I have a crap tonne of ankle boots but no longer pairs. Why you may ask? or you might not! but I'm gonna tell you anyway....because I thought I would look dumpy in them, yep I thought my legs are to short, I cannot carry over the knee boots off, then one day while browsing New Look who have an impressive selection of okb, I Impulsively tried a pair on, and you know what they looked alright, in fact I fell in love, and immediately added them to my Christmas list, and now I own said boots, I still love them and have enjoyed wearing them over skinny jeans, which is always how I envisaged wearing them, I'm not sure I would wear them with a skirt or dress, that is a bit far out of my comfort zone, but never say never eh!
