Spring Fashion Wishlist

Spring Fashion Wishlist

Can you forgive me, for sharing clothes that we cannot currently wear, but I really really want the weather to get its act together, it's Spring for God sake. I'm sure you are with me on that?
I have a new found love for trousers and I am gonna go with it and embrace not wearing jeans everyday, hence why they feature in this Spring wishlist. I am also desperate for a basket type bag, desperate may sound over the top, but you know, first world problems and all that!!!

Kitten heels have a bit of a reputation for people either loving or hating them. I personally am a lover, they are easy to walk in but also make me feel like I got my shit together.

What are you lusting after at the moment?

March beauty favourites

I really thought as March is a long month, that like January it would take approximately 75 days to pass, but nope it's flown by, Easter is approaching and allegedly it's Spring. Beauty wise I've been enjoying trying out a few new things, and some have found their way in to my monthly favourites, so they must be pretty good, and I should probably tell you about them.......

March beauty favourites

First thing I'm gonna talk about is something you all need in your shower, Imperial Leather Cherry Bakewell shower gel, this stuff smells incredible, brightens your mood and makes you you keep sniffing yourself throughout the day, only possible downside is it makes you fancy cake....if you can call that a downside.

Sticking with body products Hempz original body moisturizer*, is insanely good at leaving my skin feeling smooth and nourished, I guess that because it's packed full of natural good stuff, including hemp seed oil, shea butter and Ginseng, plus its bursting at the seems with vitamins. Its also Vegan and Gluten free and has a fresh scent with a hint of banana, meaning you smell good enough to eat. I'm starting to come across as someone who thinks about food a lot, mmmm.........

Onto makeup now, unless you have been under a rock you will know that Makeup Revolution have been killing it, bringing banging new releases out almost on the weekly. When looking at the stand in my local Superdrug, I spotted Makeup revolutions liquid highlighter and picked up the shade Ethereal, as it literally spoke to me. This product gives serious glow, and is super pretty on the skin.

Lipstick wise, I've been enjoying a product I've had a while and that's Tanya Burr's Liquid matte lip in the shade Martha Moo, I couldn't find it online so not sure if its still available. But for me its a pretty everyday nude shade, that stays on pretty well and doesn't feel dry.

Last up I've been going a bit Springy with my nail polish choices and have worn Barry M dragon fruit, pretty much all month, I love pink nails in Spring and I can never fault Barry M for nail polish choice and quality.

Have you tried any of these products? What do I need to pick up April to try?

Introducing crafted drinks company fruit juices

My family love a glass of fruit juice of a morning with breakfast, and let me tell you, we have quite refined palettes in our house, and look for something extra to your classic orange juice. That's where The Crafted drinks company come in, not only are their juices in some pretty interesting flavours, they have no added sugars or sweeteners and a glass counts as 1 of your 5 a day.

Crafted drinks company juice review

Pineapple, Coconut & Lime
I've started with my favourite of the four, for me the prominent fruit is the pineapple, with an underlying hint of coconut and a fresh zing of lime, a truly refreshing tropical tasting juice.

Still & Cloudy lemonade
A refreshing lemon drink with zesty flavour, not sharp but a smooth drink perfect for a warm day.

Apple, Mint & Lime
A pretty extra apple juice, managing to be sweet but still refreshing, I'm guessing that's the mint and lime.

Mango& Passionfruit
A delicious tropical tasting juice, that takes you off to a Caribbean island, you can almost hear the sea lapping the shore, when you drink it, well that's a slight exaggeration but you get the gist.

Monochrome stripe Newlook wide leg trousers

Hello, I love stripes, but normally I'm all about the stripe tops, not trousers, I must admit as much as I admire striped trousers on other people, they have always scared me a little. I always felt better sticking to plain bottoms, preferably jeans, and skinny/slim fitting, so these stripe wide leg trousers are well out of my comfort zone.

I saw these monochrome lovelies in Newlook, and decided to take the plunge and try them on, its taking a bit of getting used to, but now I bloody love them, and on my they are so comfy. I love the wide legs, even though previously I thought due to being a short arse I couldn't get away with it, but I think the length way stripes help to elongate my short legs. I kept it simple and monochromatic with a Primark black Harry Potter Tee, black leather jacket and boots. They also look pretty cool with my classic vans.

Beauty - Garnier skinactive moisture bomb green tea tissue mask review

You guys may know this already, but in case you don't, I'm gonna tell you now, I love skincare, I frigging love it, you only get one face, look after it ladies!!

Lately this face of mine has been screaming for more attention, I'm not sure if its the weather, hormones, tiredness or a bit of all three, but my skin has been looking a little lackluster. I have combination skin, always have but it seems to have even more of a contrast then usual recently, the oily bits are really oily and the dry bits or really dry. So you know what I had a little scout in Superdrug to look for a little pamper evening treat, and found this Garnier skinactive moisure bomb green tea tissue mask, which is marketed at us girls with combination skin.

Now I'm probably gonna sound weird when I say this but, I'm not the biggest fan of tissue masks, because I have a "thing" about the wet feeling of them on my face. But I sucked it up, put my big girl pants on, and whacked it on my face, and you know what, it wasn't that bad. I mean I'll be honest I didn't love the feeling but I coped and once I got into reading my book, I soon forgot about it.

The real magic happens when you take it off, it peels off easily, with no mess ( a definite plus for the tissue mask ) it does leave some residue but this can be just massaged into your face, as an extra bonus. This is when I was really impressed my skin felt glorious, really smooth, not greasy and the oily bits defo looked mattified, but the dry bits didn't go drier, in fact they felt a lot softer and certainly looked and felt smoother.

Overall I am really impressed with the Garnier skinactive moisture bomb tea tree tissue mask ( try saying that after a few drinks ) and will almost definitely be picking one up again.

Oh and heads up they are currently on offer in Superdrug for £1.99

DIY - Making a cute Cacti plant pot

Little Prick, cute cacti plant pot

Recently I have ventured into sharing home makeover posts, but this is my first DIY post, so do bare with me, and I hope you like it.

For my first DIY post I'm going to show you how I made this cute/funny cacti pot, just in case you want to make one to, it would make a great gift or just look quirky in your home.

DIY making a cute cacti pot

The best bit is it costs next to nothing to make and I picked everything up from my local Wilco

Step one

DIY how to make a cute cacti pot

You will, a terracotta plant pot, tester pot of paint, pva glue, string/twine, paint brushes and sharpie pen.

Step two

DIY how to make a cute cacti pot

Paint the plant pot with the white paint and allow to dry completely, I only needed one coat but it will depend on the paint you use.

Step three

Paint pva glue around the rim of the pot, then carefully wrap the string around the pot until the rim is covered, cut off the string then paint the area with more pva to seal it.

Step four

Write the words on the front of the pot in pencil, once happy go over in a black sharpie pen. I went for "Little Prick" but you can write whatever you want.

Pop your plant inside, and find the perfect spot in your home.
