Fashion - OOTD// Leather Jacket

Hey lovelies, so here it is my final outfit post of 2015, and I think it's a good one, Before Christmas I treated myself to this totally gorgeous leather jacket with detachable faux fur collar from Topshop I have been after a new leather jacket for ages and when I tried this one on, it was true love and it was reduced too, which sealed the deal for me and it had to be mine.

I was a lucky girl and received this amazing hand made leather satchel form Zatchels , the Daniel Wellington watch and the heart pandora ring from my family for Christmas and thought they would look perfect with this all black outfit.
Jacket- Topshop ( sold out )
Satchel - Zatchels
Jeans - Topshop
Boots* - shoezone c/o
Watch - Daniel Wellington
Ring - Pandora

If like me you love the satchel be sure to check out Zatchels website as they have a massive sale at the moment as do shoezone and these boots and loads of other stuff are reduced.
I hope you like this, last outfit of the year I must admit I love it, if you are a regular follower you will be seeing this jacket and bag again I gotta feeling they will be getting plenty of wear in the coming months.

Lifestyle - What will 2016 bring

Hey lovelies It's that time of year again when we inevitably look to the future and make plans for the new year. I am not one for the big ' New year new me' resolution thing and making some outlandish statement like I'm gonna give up cake or something stupid like that, cause lets face it that just ain't gonna happen. and you have just set yourself up to fail.
I am more for setting realistic goals of things that can be achieved and will make me feel smugly pleased with myself instead of disappointed.
2016 for us all is still an unknown, and this for someone like me who is a control freak is tricky not knowing how things will turn out, and can make me incredibly anxious, so for me some planning helps me to cope. We all know of milestones that will be reached over the coming year and how we mark them can be something we can plan ahead for, for me I will be 'celebrating' a big birthday something which to be honest I am dreading, so I guess one of my plans for this year is to mark the birthday in an enjoyable fun way that will make it seem less daunting and get my head round that age is just a number and doesn't mean I will now be on the scrapheap!!
More long term goals for me, are to work on my blog and social media, I want more people to read and enjoy my posts as I find blogging a valuable outlet that helps me to cope with the stresses of day to day life, for me to be able to take a couple of hours out to share with you my opinion on a great product I've tried or show you how I styled yet another pair of boots is priceless, I love it!!

So as we say goodbye to one year and welcome in a new one, I just wanna say whatever your goals and plans are for 2016, I hope its all you hoped for and you enjoy creating amazing memories.
See you in the New Year
Lots of love

I've kept this picture in cause I thought it was funny and couldn't stop laughing when I saw it !!

My Everyday Make-up

Hey lovelies, today I thought I would write a little beauty post as I haven't written much beauty wise lately and I thought its about time I did, so here its is my everyday make-up.............

My everyday work look as fairly natural with nothing to over the top, sticking to nude, brown shades and maybe a little bit of shimmer on the eyes, cause we all need a bit of shimmer every now and then.

I am currently using a new Kiko mascara which I received in my last Glossybox , you can see what else I got here . I am really enjoying using this and I find it makes my lashes look really full and super long. I would defiantly recommend giving Kiko mascara's a whirl if you haven't before. My lipstick of choice at the moment is good old Velvet teddy from Mac, what can I say we all know about Velvet teddy and I just love it.

One of my eyeshadow palettes I use on the daily is the MUA - undressed palette its got just the perfect everyday combination of pretty nudes right through to smouldering metallics so you can create numerous looks suitable for daytime right through to night.
The powder I always use to set my make-up is the maybelline matte maker. I have used this in forever because it works for me, simple as and its pretty cheap too which is a bonus.

Foundation and concealer wise I have been using these from Collection and everyone know's how good the concealer is but I recently started using the foundation too and I really like it, its a medium coverage that gives my skin a slightly dewy glow without looking shiny.

For Primer I have been using the soap n glory one heck of a blot for a couple of months and I really like it and it really helps to keep shine at bay.
Lastly blush and I like to use this essence silky touch in 70 kissable its a really pretty quite natural shade on me, perfect for an everyday look.
I hope you enjoyed this little insight to my everyday make-up, you can see plenty of pictures on my Instagram of me wearing these products. So check it out if you fancy it!!

December's Glossybox - The Rose Gold Edit

Hey lovelies its Glossybox time again, I've been really looking forward to this box since I new it was gonna be rose gold lol. cause who doesn't love a bit of rose gold?

Anyway here's what I received in this months box, firstly we got an extra bonus product a Starskin Bio-cellulose second skin mask, apparently this is ideal for party season either as a pep up before a party or as a rescue the morning after lol! I am looking forward to scaring my family with this one !!! £8.50
Another skincare item is trail size Darphin 8 flower nectar oil cream, this is a hybrid oil/cream to help your skin stay nourished and protected during the winter it contains an indulgent blend of 8 flower nectar, which uses aromatic essences from 280 petals. And I must say it smells lovely and when sticking my finger in the pot (hahaha) feels really luxurious. £65 (full size)
Sticking with your skin well under eye skin I got the etra belle Golden skin caviar eye roll on, I am looking forward to trying this little beauty as I find your eyes are the first place on your face to show you've been having late nights so anything that can help that is all good in my book! £30.66
Now on to the makeup products the first little beauty is the So Susan statement skin highlighter pencil. now I do love a highlight and this one is fab I used it on the tops of my cheek bones and it provides a really pretty dewy highlight to my face. I really like this product and will defo be using it on the regular. £15
Next up the Kiko extra sculpt mascara, now mascara to me is one of those products I just couldn't live without so I am always excited to try something new. I've heard good things about Kiko but have never used them before and I must say I was not disappointed the hourglass brush with its square tip looks strange at first but really works at catching every single lash even those pesky little ones. In short I love this mascara ! £8.90
Lastly the essence liquid lipstick in show off, now this is not for the faint hearted as its pretty bright, but the formula feels nice and it smells pretty good too. £2.50

All in all I'm really happy with this months box and will use everything in at and the box is pretty too, so that's a bonus...

November Favourites

Hey lovelies today I have for you a little post sharing with you some of the things I have been loving In November, Now the weather has well and truly turned wintery I get to indulge in my passion for boots and these Asos beauties my hubby bought  me have become my firm fav's , of course it is now coat weather and this pale blue one I picked up for a fiver yes £5 from ebay is just devine, and I can't stop wearing it.
Now the nights have drawn in and the weather is cold I like nothing more then snuggling up on the couch with a hot drink. candles lit. watching some great TV! we all know winter is the time for all the best shows and at the moment I am loving BBC drama The Last Kingdom an epic set back in the 9th century when England was invaded by the Danes, it also coincidentally has a bit of eye candy too, what more can we won't an educational historical story that happens to have a hot leading man, hahah!
What have you been loving in November ?

OOTD//An everyday Winter Outfit

Hey lovelies I thought that for today's outfit, the 5th in my series I would share with you a go to outfit for the Winter months.
I am finding myself drawn to muted shades this season of grey, blue, creams and natural colours, so when I saw this pale blue coat on Ebay I snapped it up for only a fiver and I'm so glad I did.
My 'uniform' just lately has been my grey Joni jeans, my grey snakeskin pointed boots and a muted tone knit of somekind and this coat.
This is such an easy outfit to throw on, that's warm and cosy with just that right amount of smartness coming from the pointed boots and boyfriend fit coat.

Boots- Asos
Jeans- Topshop
Coat- Ebay
Bag- Dorothy Perkins (old)

I think this is a perfect everyday outfit for either work or a day in town. Sorry the photo's are a bit dark the weather is shocking for taking pic's at the mo, The genuine issues us fashion bloggers have, in the Summer months it's bright but the clothes are rubbish and in the Winter when we wear lovely boots and coats and all those cosy layers the light is crap....

Anyway hope you like this outfit ?

November's beauty favourites

Hey lovelies it's favourites time again, yet another month has come to an end, how quick is this year going it's totally flying by!
This month I have been using a few new items and they have already become essentials in my beauty regime.

The first of my new fav's is Herbal essence shampoo and conditioner in Nourish me butter. firstly this smells amazing like you guessed it, butter lol. all sweet and cake like, and more's to the point my hair feels clean and soft. My hair had got really dry now it's colder so I decided to try something new and I'm loving the results.
Next up is skincare I have been using superdrug's Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser for a while now in fact I've nearly run out, I just blooming love this stuff, it's a gorgeous creamy cleanser you apply to wet skin and wipe off using the muslin cloth 'hot' it removes makeup and leaves my skin feeling so soft. I would 100% recommend this product.
This time of the year we all get the dreaded dry lips and what better way to solve that then with a sweet scrub that tastes like popcorn, yes its another winner from lush. popcorn lipscrub for me is a total must in the winter months.
Now on to makeup I have always loved barry m nail polish, this month I've added two of the speedy dry polish's to my collection Sprint finish and Slip stream gorgeous berry and purple shades they are of course brilliant cause they are barry m and I love there products but these ones dry quick, whats not to love.
Lastly its the Collection Illuminating touch foundation, now I must admit I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I do, I tried it on a whim after reading a couple of reviews on it, and also knowing how fab the collection concealer is thought it worth a try. I would say it's a medium coverage foundation that leaves my skin looking natural and glowy but does't go shiny even with my oily complexion, I don't like to look totally matte but of course don't want the dreaded oily patches and I think this works really well I do use a primer underneath and a powder on top but I don't find it needs much in the way of attention through out the day, So for the price I think this a brilliant option.

I hope you liked my favourites, let me know your thoughts.

ootd// man shirt and leggings with a difference (review)

Hey lovelies today's outfit post features a pair of leggings with a difference. I was recently asked to review these Pertz high performing shape wear leggings* that provide shape and comfort. They claim to limit any 'muffin' top appearance and give a smooth appearance to your legs , make your bottom more pert and limit tummy bulges with their tummy support panel. So of course I had to try them.

I must admit I found these leggings really comfortable and not tight or restricting like some shape wear garments, they have no tight waistband to restrict you and because of the high quality fabric they just seem to smooth everything out and made my tummy look flat.
The fabric has a slight sheen to it which just gives these leggings something a little different from cheap brands, and with these leggings you have no worries about them going thin and see through and being unflattering showing every lump and bump.
I was very impressed with leggings and have worn them on a few occasions including to work, so if you are looking for a quality pair of leggings that will be not only flattering but comfy too, I would recommend giving Pertz a look.
I styled mine with an oversized men's brushed cotton shirt and my new totally awesome asos Pointed Chelsea boots, but you could style these with a big woolly  jumper a sweatshirt or dress them up with a smarter blouse and blazer.

I hope you liked this outfit.

Love Kate
