This is a bit different from my usual posts, and I hope you don't mind but I thought I would share with you my experiences from Edinburgh. I wanted to do this as it is a city I always wanted to visit and I'm so glad I did and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a City short break.

Edinburgh is an historical city with some beautiful buildings and lots of cobbled hilly streets and steep staircases which makes it very different from flat Norfolk where I live.

Of course also in Edinburgh as you would expect there are loads of old fashioned Scottish pubs where you can take a rest and grab a drink or something to eat in between shopping and sightseeing.
We ate loads of great food while we were away including Fish and chips in a pub , Pulled pork sandwich in a cafe and a Scone, clotted cream & jam on the Royal Yacht in there beautiful tea rooms, but of course when you visit Scotland you have to try a deep fried Mars bar !!

Which was surprisingly good lol! All in all we had a great few days in Edinburgh and would highly recommend a visit, for us the highlight was Britannia and we really enjoyed the insight into how the Queen lived on board. But I can honestly say there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy about the city and there really is plenty to see and do.
I hope you enjoyed this post about my trip I really enjoyed sharing it with you.
