Hey lovelies,
Today I have something completely different for you, a really simple banana bread recipe, that literally anyone one can bake, it's simple to make, and know fancy ingredients required, so here goes.......
Ingredients:
250g plain flour
1 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
pinch of salt
115g butter
115g dark brown soft sugar
2 eggs
4 mashed over ripe bananas
- First things first grease your loaf tin and preheat the oven to 180c.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, bicarb and salt and set aside, you'll come back to it later.
- In another large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar, crack in 2 eggs and the mashed bananas and combine gently.
- Stir the wet banana mixture into the dry ingredients and combine till everything is moistened.
- Pour into prepared loaf tin and pop in the oven for 50-60 mins depending on your oven, mines a fan so takes roughly 50 but keep an eye on it you don't want it to burn. You'll know when its cooked as a skewer inserted in the middle will come out clean,
- Remove from oven leave to cool in the tin for 10 mins, then turn out onto a wire rack to finish cooling.
- Enjoy a slice with a cuppa !!
See I told you it was super easy peasy, its also delicious and a nice way to spend an hour or two in the kitchen, Perfect for a Sunday afternoon baking sesh!!
