Hey lovelies,
Its time for my August Degustabox* box review, if your not familiar with Degustabox, read on on cause I'm about to fill you in.......
Degustabox is a monthly subscription box, but not for beauty for FOOD, yeah you read that right for a know commitment monthly fee of £12.99 you get 10 - 15 food and drink surprises sent to your home for you to enjoy, many of the items are new to the market, so you'll be among'st the first to try them.

Here's what I got this month.......

First up we have snacks, Rakusen's snackers are healthy crackers that are just 7 calories per cracker and are great nibbled straight from the bag or topped with cheese, which is my preferred way of eating pretty much anything! haha
Willy chase fit corn, I got perfect bloody mary flavour and boy does it have a kick but is very moorish and me and the Mr soon polished this bag off, and the cool thing about this brand is that the whole process of production is all conducted in rural Herefordshire using local ingredients so no nasties in this bag.

recently I have been getting plenty of new drinks to try in my Degustabox and this month is know exception. Get more Multivitamins is a refreshing flavoured water drink I got lemon & Lime flavour, with added vitamins and no added sugar, so perfect for your packed lunch. Another refreshing little number is Fentimans sparkling Lime and Jasmine drink.
Right now onto the booze... Mahou Cinco Estrellas is a premium Spanish lager, and this is chilling in my Fridge right now! haha

Tabasco sweet & sticky Barbecue sauce and marinade is right up my street I literally cannot wait to get marinading some chicken and getting it on the barbie.

I dunno bout you but I love a curry and I whip one up at home most weeks, so these Geeta Curry pastes and Mango chutney are a very welcome addition to my kitchen cupboard.

Now these Nutripots sound amazing and perfect to take for lunch at work, delicious instant pots with 50% of 28 Vitamins and minerals your body needs so convenient and healthy.

Breakfast is undoubtedly my fav meal so I was thrilled with this box of Dorset cereals Bircher Muesli, I love muesli so cant wait to try this box.

last up Clipper Green tea Lime & Ginger, now I'm not a fan of Green tea but will give this a whirl if I'm not keen I'll give it away to a friend.

Another great box from Degustabox this month, if  you would like to try Degustobox yourself with no commitment I have a discount code, giving you a whopping £7 off your first box.

Beauty - August Favourites

August favourites from Vera wang Urban decay and benifit

Hey lovelies,
Its that time again, yet another month has flown past at lightening speed, and Summer has actually been doing its thing this month and been ,well Sunny, and this has been reflected in my beauty choices.

First up is my new love the Urban Decay Naked palette, I actually dunno why I never bought this before, It is amazing the shades are stunning, the pigmentation great and staying power amazing, I am in Love and have used this everyday since I bought it, mainly using naked and buck and half baked for a pretty summery everyday eye look. I can't wait to see what other looks I can create with this palette.

Also from Urban Decay I have a new fav lippie, in the form of Backtalk a gorgeous pinky mauve shade in the Vice comfort matte formula, I am currently loving the Vice lipsticks I have a couple and I love them. You can read my full review with swatches here.

Sticking with Urban Decay,( I'm falling in love with them ) the all nighter setting spray has been an essential in the warm weather so cooling and refreshing and sets my makeup too so double bubble. It's also on offer on feel unique as I type this so check it out if you like the sound of it.

Another new addition has come from Benefit, the sample size of Dew the hoola I got free with Elle magazine has become a staple in my everyday makeup these last couple of weeks. I already love Hoola so new I would love Dew the Hoola its a great wearable bronzer that blends out beautifully giving a really natural glow.

Last up is something I have had since last Summer Vera Wang hippie princess, its a perfect Summer scent with hints of exotic fruits and vanilla but with a hint of floral too. I love Vera Wang perfumes and this one is my favourite for Summer.

What's been your favourite beauty item this month ?

Fashion - Styling a pleated dress

Asos pleated dress

Hey lovelies,
I picked up this Navy pleated Asos dress a couple of months back for a presentation I was going too, but hadn't worn it since so thought I would wear it and style it in slightly more "Kate" fashion and of course casual it up with flat sandals and my trusty over sized denim Jacket from Topshop. I'm just not a dressy girlie girl and like to keep my outfits pretty casual and a denim Jacket just works for that....

How cute is this dress? I love the pleated trend but don't like anything to flouncy and this is just perfect, Oh and apologies for my pale legs, blame the British Summer. Also how amazing is this Church? I can't wait to use it again for outfits, I bet it would look so cool in Winter especially with a bit of Snow!!

fashion - Asos Autumn wishlist

Hey Lovelies,
I know it's not long since I shared a wishlist, but I just couldn't resist sharing these recent discoveries, last night while casually surfing the internet I just happened upon Asos, as you do, and came to the immediate conclusion that everything I owned for Autumn was rubbish and I would "NEED" basically everything on Asos!
They have so many good things that I suggest you get your butt over there and check them out. A look I always love for Autumn is an over sized slouchy jumper, big tick as Asos has tonnes I also love to pop on a shirt under said slouchy jumper and Asos gets another tick on that front. I'm also loving there ankle boot selection as I do adore a good pair of boots.
You get the message basically if Asos sell it I won't it......

Fashion - Ivy Park

Ivy park outfit

Hey lovelies,
I know Ivy Park, Beyonce's range has been around a while, but recently more pieces have been added and when I was last in Tophop I just couldn't resist picking up this drop arm vest top in grey.
I also new immediately I wouldn't be wearing this in the conventional way as I am know Gym bunny, but I love sports wear worn in a dressy outfit with more of the sports lux feel too it, that what I've done here. A word of warning you will need a sports bra or bandeau underneath or there will be some serious boob on display!!

I've gone for my trusty black Joni Jeans, but boyfriend or mom jeans would look equally as good, add heels and you have upped the game of this outfit, my nude heels are years old but black would work too.

Do you have any Ivy Park pieces?

Fashion - Styling a band Tee

how to style a band tee

Hey lovelies,
I'm finally back with another fashion post, I have just been so busy lately with work and family stuff, but this weekend the planets aligned and we had to chance to shoot a little something for you guys.

Now band Tee's I have always loved them and have owned many over the years, but they seem to have a current resurgence and are literally all over the high street. So how should you style one?
well firstly pick a rock band with credibility, you don't wanna look like a teeny bopper in a one direction T-shirt! so pick a cool band usually something old school.
Now what to wear your cool band Tee with, first up denim, denim always looks good, whether it be black skinnies like me or a denim jacket, next leather always looks edgy and rock n roll with a band Tee and footwear, a pair of killer heels will take your outfit from super casual to super stylish in one step. And lastly a pair of aviators in my opinion just adds to that "rock" star look!

I think my shoes totally make this outfit, they are a couple of years old so I have linked similar pairs for you, if you like the look of them.

What do you think to band T-shirts? how do you wear yours?

If you liked this outfit you might like Rock Chic in Glasgow where I styled another of my band Tee's.

Beauty - L'oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask Review

L'oreal pure clay detox mask review

Hey lovelies,
I recently wrote a post on my Skincare hero's and mentioned I was looking for a Face mask to add into my routine, so after hearing some good things I decided to place a cheeky Boots order, cause my local Boots is crap, and ordered the L'oreal Pure Clay Detox mask, which at the introductory price of a Fiver was a know brainer decision.

L'oreal Pure Clay Detox mask claims to have 10 applications per jar, which for the price is pretty damn good I reckon. I've used it twice so far and still have tonnes left. The formula of the mask contains 3 clay types plus charcoal giving it that dark almost black colour, the consistency is easy to apply I used my fingers to spread a layer of my skin but I guess you could use a brush and paint it on. I love Clay masks that dry on the skin I find it so satisfying when they dry and crack and this one drys in 5 to 10 mins, I usually leave it on for a good 10 minutes then wash off using a muslin cloth and warm water.

The Three clay's and charcoal act as a magnet to draw out impurities from the skin and detoxify, My skin feels amazingly clean and soft after using the mask and it doesn't cause breakouts which is a massive bonus as I hate that about some mask's that claim to draw out impurities. The L'oreal mask is lightly scented with a fresh clean smell that's very subtle as I hate overpowering scents.

Overall I would recommend the Pure clay detox mask as it's good value for money for a good quality product that is a nice addition to anyone's skincare regime.
