Beauty - November Favourites

November beauty favourites

Hey lovelies,
I can't believe I am sat here typing my penultimate favourites post of 2016, this month has been an odd month for me, I left my job and have felt many mixed emotions from anger to relief, but on the plus side I have had much more time on my hands in the big run up to Christmas and can't wait to spend Christmas with my family uninterrupted by work. Anyway onto my beauty favourites for this month, there are not that many this month, some are new discoveries others are old favourites.
First up makeup and an old favourite rediscovered in my collection the Makeup revolution Flawless palette, I love the quality of the Makeup revolution palettes, so much better then the bargain price tag would indicate, they are well pigmented and blend a dream and just look at the gorgeous shade range in the Flawless, perfect colours for this time of year with gorgeous cranberry and gold shades right to dark smokey shades this palette has got you covered.

Rimmel's new lipstick offering the only 1 matte lipstick has been causing quite a stir and in my opinion rightly so these are super quality matte lipsticks that feel great on the lips and last well one of my favourites from the launch is 610 High Flyer a perfect mauve shade super wearable and goes with pretty much any makeup look.
Lastly for makeup products we have Barry M mist and fix setting spray dewy finish, this is a fairly recent discovery for me but I am absolutely in love with this stuff you can read my full review here.

Dry shampoo is know new discovery for me and I've always used batiste but I have recently tried Batiste dry shampoo dark n deep brown now this is a revelation for me not only does it freshen hair between washes or add a bit of much needed texture but this little beauty helps to hide my pesky roots between colour appointments, it comes in a couple of other shades to for those with lighter hair but this one is perfect for my dark hair.
Lastly when It's cold my skin always needs a bit of extra help as it gets especially dry on my legs and elbows that's where Soap & Glory's Righteous Butter comes in I just smother myself in this after a shower and my skin feels instantly softer and smoother, I love it.

I hope you enjoyed my monthly favourite's be sure to follow me on bloglovin, I'm gonna be blogging everyday in December right up until Christmas.

Beauty - Barry M mist and fix makeup setting spray dewy finish

Barry M mist and fix setting spray dewy finish

Hey lovelies,
Now I have tried many a setting spray some cheap, some expensive, some I liked and some I didn't. and always swore by the UD ones, but lets face it they are super pricey, and this girl is on a budget, plus there is no where, where I live I can just pop in and buy that, for me it involves an online order.
I love Barry M as a brand, I have used there concealers, lipsticks and swear by the nail polishes, so when in Superdrug browsing the makeup stands as you do, it was a no brainer when I saw the Barry M setting sprays and decided to pick up Mist and fix dewy finish to try. I am someone who has fairly oily skin and needs a little help with keeping everything in place and to not go shiny, I however do not like a matte finish to my face, I like to be fresh and dewy looking. That's where this little beauty comes in, I really like the finish it gives my skin, dare I say I like it more then the UD ones, and it works, it keeps my makeup looking fresh all day, with that dewy/glowy look we are all after, and for a Fiver its also an absolute bargain.

I would 100% recommend Barry M mist and fix for anyone looking to try a new setting spray and I know I won't be going back to an expensive one.

Fashion - Knitwear a Winter wardrobe staple

Hey lovelies,
for someone who's known as the ice queen by my friends and family, I am no stranger to knitwear in fact it is an integral part of my Winter wardrobe. We all know a plain jumper and jeans outfit can get pretty dull everyday, so why not mix it up with a chunky over sized jumper, or a thinner knit layered over a roll neck or shirt or maybe a cozy cardi you can really snuggle up in, there really are loads of possibilities. I am always on the look out for the perfect Winter knit to add to my collection.
Here are some of my current fav's from the highstreet.........

A black jumper is of course a must have, but I'm being drawn in by the bottle green and mustard shades this year, and since researching this post the Topshop one has become mine, you can see how I wore it Here

Fashion - The Mustard Jumper you need

Topshop mustard jumper

Hey lovelies,
This outfit came about while researching an up coming blog post on Knitwear, cause while doing thorough research, I came across this Topshop Jumper that I just had to have, you know that thing that gets into your head and you can't stop thinking about it. well for me it was this Jumper and I had to make a cheeky order and make it mine.

Jumper - Topshop
Leggings- Boohoo (old)
Boots- Newlook (old)
Denim Jacket - Topshop (similar)

I love this Jumper with my faux leather panel leggings I just love the contrast, between the "leather" and cosy knit, but I have also worn it with blue and black jeans and it looks lush with my leopard coat the possibilities are endless with this jumper and I think its a worthwhile investment as will wear it loads.

Will you be buying a Mustard jumper this Winter?

Lifestyle - how I grew my twitter account

How I grew my twitter account

Hey lovelies,
I think we will all agree on how difficult it can be to grow your social media following, and I found my Twitter following stagnating not really growing for weeks on end, and this I found super frustrating as we all now Twitter is probably the single best way to drive traffic to our blog posts, and that's what we all want right?   I decided to really concentrate on improving my Twitter following, and gained +1000 followers in just a few weeks so here's how I did it.........

  • Went on a huge following spree, following fellow bloggers and people who seemed interesting and who's tweets I enjoyed reading.
  • Tweeted regularly and not just my blog links.
  • Re- tweeted great articles or funny or interesting tweets.
  • Commented on tweets and joined in conversations.
  •  Followed brands or groups I'm interested in.
  • Held a few small Twitter giveaways, requiring a follow and re-tweet to enter.
Now don't get me wrong my twitter following isn't massive but has grown significantly in the last few weeks. As you can see it really wasn't anything hard but it helped me and I thought maybe if your where struggling with Twitter growth these tips could help you to.

Fashion - The Ankle boot a Winter wardrobe staple

ankle boots

Hey lovelies,
for me an absolute staple in my wardrobe for Autumn and Winter are ankle boots. I have several pairs but pictured are four of my favourite's, the humble ankle boot is not only practical for the colder months keeping are tootsies warm and allowing us to wear chunky socks they also are a fashion must have going with everything in our wardrobes from jeans and trousers to skirts and dresses. They can be dressed up or down, be plain or statement the choice really is endless. For me everyone needs a pair of black ankle boots in there footwear arsenal, but statement boots are also becoming a massive player this season from burgundy, to buckle to animal print, floral and beyond there really is loads of choice on the high street at the moment.

Here's a few from the high street to wet your whistle, there really is an immense choice out there.....

I am defo lusting after a leopard print or floral pair the jury is still out........

What will you be buying this ankle boot season?

Fashion - breaking the Fashion rules

breaking the fashion rules

Hey lovelies,
we have all heard some of the fashion rules, you shouldn't wear blue and black together, double denim is a no no ect ect.......
But hey rules are made to be broken and sometimes if you just try something you know it just might bloody work, and I think today's outfit pays homage to breaking the frigging rules, I've always been a little bit of a rebel haha....

I just wanna give a little shout out to this boohoo jumper, its got the cute open knit detail giving it a bit of something, to stand out from the sea of black jumpers out there, plus its super soft and only £15.
You would of seen the Topshop denim jacket before, I bought this a few months ago but its still available and being over sized its perfect for layering up meaning you can wear it even on chilly days.

Oh and how sassy are these boots I love them and I picked them up in my local Sainsbury of all places, I can't find the link online but I would defo check out your local store, as in my opinion they are amazing, and they just happen to go with my Newlook satchel a bag I get loads of compliments on and it also comes in black and dark green.

Do you like to break the fashion rules?
