Hey lovelies,
Welcome to this my last post of 2016, today instead of doing my normal monthly favourites, I thought I would write a post about those beauty discoveries of 2016 that will be coming with me into 2017, these are all products that I use all the time and couldn't imagine not having in collection.
This was the year I really go into skincare and decided to get a good routine in place that really works for my skin, and this includes Liz Earle's cleanse & polish, this is an iconic product everyone has heard of and for good reason in my opinion, it really works at dissolving making and cleansing skin and my skin has never looked and felt so good. Sticking with skincare earlier this year I was suffering from really dry skin in the eye area and thought it was about time I invested in some decent eye cream, and that's when my infatuation with kiehls creamy eye cream was born, its just so good no more dry eyes and its made my delicate eye area a lot happier.
Revlon color stay foundation for oily/combination skin is my go to base and I can't see that changing, I love its coverage and finish and it doesn't melt of my face which is a massive bonus. Urban Decay has got to be one of my stand out brands of 2016, I have amassed a collection of there products and love all of them the eye shadow palette's for me are just the best quality and the original naked palette is one I reach for day after day, the pigmentation and quality are second to none and well worth the £38 price tag in my opinion. I also love there lipsticks I have 3 of the Vice lippies, the packaging is stunning very instagramable and the lipsticks themselves are great quality and the selection of colours is insane they have a colour and finish I think anyone would love. Now eyeliner is something I have always been pretty rubbish at, that is until I tried Soap & Glory's supercat liner, its an easy to use felt tip style liner that even I can use, so defo worth a try. Lastly to set all this makeup on my face the BarryM mist and fix dewy finish setting spray is the one, I have tried several setting sprays including expensive ones but I can honestly say I prefer the mist and fix and its £5.99 price tag is a bonus.
So there you have my top products of 2016, what are your favourites? what do I need to try in 2017?
Thank you for all your support through 2016, I would love you to hang about through 2017, I hope you all have a great New Year whatever you are doing, I will be on the couch watching Harry Potter, my party days are behind me (haha).
Happy New Year
I love the Revlon foundation, it's amazing!
