Hey lovelies,
Today I have a super easy mince pie recipe for you, now I'm not a lover of the bought mince pie but I am partial to a homemade one, with a cuppa in the afternoon so here's my super easy recipe.

Ingredients

175g plain flour
100g butter
1 egg yolk
1 tbs water
Mincemeat

Method

  • Rub in the butter to the flour, once rubbed in make a well in the middle add the egg yolk and water. Bring together with your hands into a dough.
  • Chill in the fridge for 15 mins, then roll out dough and cut out circles and put in your mince pie tin, put a teaspoon of mincemeat in each pie, then cut out triangles from the dough to make the lids.
  • Bake in the oven at 180c for around 20 minutes, allow to cool in the tin before removing to a plate and dusting with icing sugar if you fancy.
There you go a super easy mince pie recipe you can knock up in a flash, perfect with a hot chocolate or cuppa.
