Lifestyle - Asda Living room makeover wishlist

George Home Grey Chunky Teddy Throw | Home & Garden | George at ASDA / George Home Copper Effect Lamp | Lighting | George at ASDA / Jumbo Cord Cushion 50x50cm - Natural | Home & Garden | George at ASDA

Hey lovelies,

I am going wishlist crazy right now, I think it's the promise of Spring, I just wanna freshen everything up including my home, and my living room is the first room on that list, as it was the first room we ever decorated in this house, now it's got tired and needs a makeover, but I do not have an unlimited pot of money to do so, that's where Asda come in, I love their home decor stuff, it's good quality on trend and not to pricey.

I've decided to go for a grey colour palette as it looks contemporary yet will not go out of fashion anytime soon.

My room doesn't get much natural light so we have gone for light wood furniture, a natural coloured cushions and lighting.

I can not wait to get cracking and making my front room cosy, yet fresh.

Beauty - April Favourite's

Mac love joy, charlotte Tilbury bitch perfect

Hey lovelies,

Yet another month is nearly over, I just dunno where this year is going. Sooooo here is what I have been enjoying this month.

The first thing I'm gonna talk about is bitch perfect, my first Charlotte Tilbury product, oh how I love it, it's creamy it's glossy and it's a perfect every day shade, I wrote a little review of it you can read that here if you fancy.

Another new item in my makeup collection that I have worn non stop since buying it is Mac Love Joy Mineralize blush, it instantly warms my complexion giving me a healthy bit of colour to my skin with a little bit of shimmery highlight to it. You can see more about it here.

Next up, I recently picked up one of Primark's oval makeup brushes as recommended by my best friend Hayley from, and of course my girl didn't steer me wrong. I love it, it's converted me from a beauty sponge, it's just so quick for applying foundation.

Now onto this lovely soft Apricot nail polish from Leighton Denny*, I had never tried the brand until this month but the quality has blown me away, I will no doubt be adding more of these polishes to my stash.

Last up some skin care you guys know how I love skin care, the beginning of the month I was getting low on my usual moisturiser, and decided to give something new a whirl not that I was unhappy with what I was using, but I found a good deal on this Vichy Idealia and I have heard that the brand was good, so took the plunge. It's light perfect for my combination skin, leaving my skin soft and moisturised without being to heavy on the oily patches, and it makes a good base for makeup.

So there we go my monthly favourites done and dusted for another month.

Fashion - Asos Wishlist

ASOS leather shoes / Daisy Street | Daisy Street Oversized Hoodiewith Rose Embroidered Hood / ASOS Jeansjacke / New Look | New Look Lace Up T-Shirt / ASOS | ASOS Ultimate Chunky Cardigan / ASOS | ASOS T-Shirt In Mix and Match Mono Spot / Glamorous | Glamorous Oversized Shirt With Floral Embroidery

Hey lovelies,

It's nearly payday again, and I am hopeful that maybe real soon, we will start getting some warmer weather, as I dunno bout you, but I am so ready for warmth, sunny days when you do not need 5 layers on, and evenings when you can sit in the garden without freezing your bits off.

With that in mind here is what is currently in my saved items on Asos, one of my most favourite places to shop, I love that premier delivery although I must admit it can be dangerous for my bank balance.

I need more embroidery in my life, that white shirt gives me love heart eyes, I am also digging that spotty top, quite feminine for me but I am really tempted to try it.

What are you lusting after this payday?

Beauty - Joan Collins beauty Divine lips lipsticks review

Joan Collins beauty divine lips review

Hey lovelies,

I am a sucker for a bit of luxe packaging when it comes to a lipstick, so when I got the opportunity to try these divine lips lipsticks*I grabbed it with both hands.

I have tried the Joan Collins bath salts before which I loved, but never any of the makeup.

The two shades I road tested are Evelyn * a fresh coral shade, and Bella* a cool toned pink, both lipsticks have a lovely cream formula that feels so hydrating on the lips, in fact the brand claim to improve hydration levels after 30 days, this I cannot verify as I have not had them 30 days but I can confirm that they feel lovely on the lips.

The staying power for a cream formula is actually pretty good, I wore Evelyn on an evening out, and it held up to drinks really well not leaving a print on the glass, and staying nicely on the lips, after eating it did need reapplying but I find most lippies do to be honest.
I think Evelyn is my favourite of the two shades and I got several compliments on the night I wore it out, although it's not a shade I would normally pick, I actually really like it and think it will look even nicer in the Summer.

Overall I am really impressed with these lipsticks, I think they are amazing quality and the packaging is oh so photogenic!

You can check out my review of the Joan Collins Bath salts here, if you fancy seeing what else the brand has to offer.

Beauty - Leighton Denny Apricot blush & strike a pose nail polish review

Leighton Denny Apricot blush & Strike a Pose nail polish review

Hey lovelies,

When the seasons change and the evenings get lighter and the days get warmer, I like to switch things up with regards to my nail polish. preferring lighter fresher shades.

I do however expect a lot from any nail polish I use, for one it has to dry fairly quick, it has to apply easily preferably using only a couple of strokes to cover each nail, and it has to last. I do not have the patience to wait ages for my nails to dry, only for them to chip the next day.

So when I tried these polishes from Leighton Denny* I did have high expectations. I choose the shades Apricot blush, which as the name suggests is a gorgeous Apricot shade, and Strike a pose a pink/red glitter shade, perfect to use as an accent colour with the Apricot, I love them together.

I must admit I am really impressed with the quality of these Leighton Denny* polishes, they dry really bloody quick no waiting ages not being able to do anything for fear of smudging my nails, they apply easily and they last several days before starting to show signs of wear. which I think is pretty good considering I am tapping away at a keyboard every day at work.

Overall I have been really happy with these nail polishes, and would defo add more colours from their range to my collection.

Beauty - Mac Love Joy Mineralize blush review

Mac mineralize blush in love joy

Hey lovelies,

Sometimes I get in a makeup rut always using the same products or at least the same shades. This is how I felt recently about blush I always wear pink tones, and never really strayed from that, but on a recent visit to Mac, I decided to be brave and give something else a whirl. I have heard good things about the Mineralize blushes and planned on swatching some on my trip in store, and that's when I fell in love with Love Joy, which is a shock as it's totally out of my comfort zone, in the fact that it's not pink.

Love Joy is a warm mid tone brown with gold pearlized finish to it, making it perfect for enhancing those cheekbones leaving a luminous shimmer. The baked formula provides a sheer application that can be built up leaving a gorgeous highlight to the cheekbones. Plus on lazy days can be swept over the lid, for an understated eye look.

The quality of the blush is second to none, it feels light on the skin, and lasts all day. I literally have worn it everyday since buying it.
The packaging is sturdy and classy as you would expect from Mac.

I know that next time I visit the Mac counter I will defo be swatching more of the mineralize blushers.

Which shades should I pick up next?

Fashion - Levi T-shirt and Leather jacket 80's style

Levi tshirt and leather jacket

Hey lovelies,

I have been coveting a Levi's T-shirt in so long, and recently picked one up on a shopping spree, it just screams retro 80's to me, a fashion era I love, throw on a leather jacket and you have an effortlessly "cool" outfit, that I know I am gonna wear again and again.

For me a leather jacket is a key piece in my wardrobe, literally throw it on with anything from jeans and Tshirt to a summer dress and heels it instantly makes any outfit look edgier and can totally transform your look.

I love how classic this look is, it's just right up my street.

Do you love the 80's style?

Beauty - Charlotte Tilbury - Bitch Perfect

Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect

Hey lovelies,

I have finally popped my Charlotte Tilbury cherry, and I can honestly say I am addicted to this latest addition to my lipstick collection. Bitch Perfect, is indeed perfect in my eyes, its a gorgeous pinky nude shade, that just goes with any makeup look, its creamy and comfortable on the lips and has a subtle sheen to it, a look a must admit I am digging right now, dare I say it, but I am over having a matte lip everyday!

Bitch Perfect is from Charlotte's "Kissing" range of lipsticks light diffusing pigments for pert, full bodied lips, that also have UV protection, perfect for Spring/Summer.

The formula is pretty long lasting, going 4/5 hours between top ups, which is fine by me, and it feels so moisterising like I'm wearing a lip balm, I literally cannot wait to add more from Charlotte to my collection.

Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect

The packaging is also to die for, and you get a few cheeky free samples when you order directly from the Charlotte Tilbury website, and my order came the next day which I was really impressed by.

What should I be buying next from Charlotte Tilbury?

Fashion - Girly Band Tee Look

Hey lovelies,

We finally seem to be reaching T-Shirt weather, which makes me so happy, cause at heart I'm a jeans and T-shirt kinda girl, I have always been a bit of a Tomboy kind of dresser, loving my band Tee's, but what I love about my latest Nirvana shirt, is the gorgeous blush pink colour, a shade I have been drawn to this season, it just makes my outfit look just that little bit more feminine, adding in a pair of pointed flats and blazer, and you have a grown up girly version of the classic jeans and Tee.

T-shirt- Primark,
 Blazer - Newlook (old) ,
Shoes- Asos ( sold out ),

And as for these step hem Jamie jeans, get used to seeing them, cause I am basically living in them right now.

Long may the sunny weather continue and I get regular outfits shot, fingers crossed !

Beauty - New beauty purchases

Mac mineralize blusher

Hey lovelies,

Since getting paid from my new job at the end of March, I've picked up a few new beauty bits after a long hiatus of not having money to buy any new makeup. So today I thought I would share a quick first impressions of the bits I picked up. I was hoping to buy Charlotte Tilbury's pillow talk to but sadly it's currently sold out, so any recommendations for another lipstick from her will be greatly received.

The first thing I picked up was a cheeky Mac purchase, I haven't bought anything from them in a while, but just had to snap up this Mineralize blush in Love Joy, its the perfect peachy blusher and on first use I love it and think it will be even more stunning once I have picked up a bit of colour.

I then get in on the PS Pro blending brush action, now these brushes are a total bargain in Primark, but I can honestly say I am so impressed the brush is so soft and applies foundation just so quickly, I think it's gonna be a God send as I do like to stay in bed for as long as possible so like anything that can help me apply my makeup quickly in the mornings before work.

Last up NYX micro brow pencil in black, now this was a great find as I find not many brow products are dark enough for my eyebrows, Its a fine micro pencil great for filling little gaps naturally plus has a spoolie on one end so great for keeping unruly brows in check.

I'm sure more in depth reviews will be coming once I have road tested these products further.

What have you been buying recently?
