Hey lovelies,
In this post I'm gonna share with you how I wear pink crushed velvet without looking like I am going to an 80's themed fancy dress party.
I am aware Velvet is a bit of a Marmite fabric.......
You either love it or hate it, personally I love it, Velvet that is not Marmite, Marmite is filth!!!
So for those of you who love it, here's how I have been wearing it. For me the key is pared back, everything else you wear needs to be pretty basic, and keep jewellery to delicate pieces rather then wearing big dangling earrings or you will risk looking like Madonna in the 80's.
I've gone for dark denim and black with the rest of my outfit, to let the crushed pink velvet do all the talking. Another way if keeping it casual is to size up a bit like I did with this top, that way it's a little baggy rather then really slim fitting.
Velvet top - Newlook
jeans - River Island (old)
Jacket - River Island (old)
Boots - Dorothy Perkins
Backpack - Zara
Such a pretty top. Love your boots too. Have a great week.
