Lifestyle - Some of the little things that are making me happy

Hey lovelies,

The last year for me has been a turbulent one, I left a job that was making me unhappy, then ended up in another job that made me unhappy, anxious and just feeling crap about myself, so I did what seems to be what I do and left that job to. This however did not make me feel better, I then felt like a failure, like someone who couldn't cope with "normal" pressures, and I must admit it has taken me awhile to get over these feelings and move on, but I finally feel like I'm heading towards the light at the end of the tunnel, and so to not make this post a sad tale of me feeling sorry for myself, here are the little things that are making me happy.

  • Watching my boys grow and mature, seeing there determination and ambition, and also seeing them being kind caring, sensitive young men. They make me burst with pride everyday.

  • Weekends make me happy, spending time with my favourite people, just enjoying there company.

  • Dates with my husband, we are coming up to our 5 year wedding anniversary, and still regularly enjoy time out just the two of us, whether it be the traditional weekend dinner date, or a midweek trip to the cinema, sometimes even a Friday afternoon visit to a coffee shop, those couple of hours out of our busy lives to just enjoy each other's company are priceless.

  • Hanging out with my best friend always cheers me up, catching up, and sharing gossip usually over coffee or lunch, and nearly always includes some shopping and of course photo's, you gotta get those candid insta snaps.

  • My blog, Kate's Closet, has grown in importance to me hugely over this last year, and is my creative outlet, my little place on the internet. It is also another thing I share with my husband, as he is my chief photographer, it has quickly become something we both enjoy and are both striving to improve.

So there you have it, a few things that are making me happy.

  1. great post dear!

  2. Lovely post! I think it's great that you realised the job was making you unhappy and left, rather then letting it continue to make you sad.
