Beauty - Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick in Mayfair Red Lady Review

Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick in Mayfair Red Lady Review

Most of the year, I plod along wearing the same three nude lipsticks, but it's Christmas time and I'm feeling a bit extra, I have red lipsticks but not one that I just think yep, this is my red that is until I popped in my local Superdrug to get an Eyebrow pencil, and thanks to their offers and marketing ploys, I came out with two lipsticks and a mascara as well as the eyebrow pencil. One of the lipsticks being this Rimmel Moisture Renew in the shade Mayfair Red Lady. I swatched this and just new it was coming home with me, I own nothing like this lipstick, it is a really really statement glossy orange toned red. When it comes to reds I normally go matte but I love the finish of this lipstick and it feels so moisterising, literally like a lip balm not a lipstick.

It Not being a matte lipstick does mean it's not gonna be as long wearing, but this does survive a few coffees before it needs touching up, tending to wear on the inside of my lips more than the outside so you can get away without keep topping it up for a while.
For me this is not a problem as I just love the shade and how comfortable it is to wear, and let's not forget this is a Rimmel lipstick costing £6.49, not a high end expensive brand.
Personally I don't wear bold lipsticks enough to warrant paying a lot for one, and why bother when they are as gorgeous as this.

Are you an avid red lipstick wearer or just at Christmas like me?
