Now, I'm gonna be honest and reveal I am not a regular tanner, in fact I haven't used a self tan in years. Put it down to past experiences of tan going wrong on an epic scale, think orange streaky legs, the colour of old ladies "flesh" coloured tights, not a look I think anyone wants to recreate. So I gave up and decided tanning the fake way wasn't for me.
Fast forward many years, and I decided to give tanning a whirl again, I actually tan quite easily in the sun, but as we have had an apocalyptic winter, broken up by 3 days of tropical sunshine in April, I am looking pretty pale.
Hempz Touch of Summer gradual tanning lotion
Hempz touch of Summer gradual tanning lotion, is exactly what it says on the tube, a luxurious feeling moisteriser that gradually builds up to a natural, and I'm pleased to say streak free tan.
I apply the lotion each morning after my shower, the cream rubs in easily, sinking into the skin, there is no stickiness and it dries quickly. I have the Yuzu and starfruit scent, which smells like strawberry to me, and is really rather nice. Hempz touch of summer gradual tanning lotion also has SPF 30, so offers a good level of protection as well enhancing your tan.
Hempz is such a lovely brand, I use a body moisteriser from them and love it, they are cruelty, gluten and paraben free, all there products are made using 100% organic natural hemp seed. So a really nice brand.
Hempz instant sunless bronzing mousse
Another product from Hempz I have been trying is the yuzu and starfruit instant sunless bronzing mousse. This is a light mousse that easily absorbs into the skin, its not sticky and smells quite pleasant, not as nice as the lotion, but still ok and the scent soon disappears once on the skin. This provides a bit more of an instant tan unlike the lotion, I have the fair and find this gives me a lovely bronzed look, nothing to intense, it just looks like I've naturally caught a bit of sun, which for a tanning novice is perfect.
If you are looking to try a new tanning product or are a novice like me, I recommend looking into Hempz.
I hope you found this review helpful. Let me know if you are a tanning novice to, surely I'm not the only one.
