August beauty favourites

We are nearing the end of yet another month, and are drawing towards the end of Summer here in the UK, I for one am sad about this, I know there seems to be a thing about Autumn, and everyone is counting down the days for it, well not me.... I shall be hanging on for as long as I can. It helps that I haven't had my Summer holiday yet, so I get to live Summer time for that bit longer. This months favourites reflect the warm weather and the fact I am living for Summer.

So without further waffling here are my;

 August beauty favourites

If you have thick hair, and a fringe, you will I am sure know the struggle that comes from warm weather, the rather attractive sweaty forehead that attracts hair and in turn makes the hair sweaty and equally as attractive as the aforementioned forehead. I am painting quite the glamourous picture I know... well I also know I couldn't of survived the summer without my trusty Batiste dry shampoo, well that is a bit of an exaggeration, but my hair would of looked shit.

Makeup wise, I like a light fresh finish to my skin, so use a lightweight base, and this month I have been using either my Mac face and body, which has now run out or my Charlotte Tilbury light wonder foundation, which leaves a natural dewy finish.

To add to my dewy complexion I do like a bit of a sunkissed glow, and that's exactly what you get from Mac Love Joy, mineralize blush, it adds a flush of glowy colour to my face.

I haven't really been wearing a lot of lipstick, this last few months, preferring more of a tinted lip balm look to my pout, and that's exactly what you get from this cheap as chips lippie from Primark, it leaves more of a sheen to the lips and feels more like a lip balm than a lipstick, which I do like in Summer.

For my nails I do usually like dark nails but his month I have been drawn towards the peachy tones of Leighton Denny, Apricot blush.

Are you desperate for Autumn or hanging onto Summer like me? let me know in the comments.

  1. I love pastel and peachy toned nails this time of year, but I am all ready to bring out the warms for autumn!
