Living room makeover wishlist

This year my home has been having a bit of a revamp, redecorating our bedroom, dining room, kitchen and hallway. We then took a break, because A) had had enough of painting and B) money, decorating is an expensive affair.

Now Autumn is fast approaching, I'm in the mood for more, we have our summer holiday the end of September, then it will be full steam ahead to get our home looking on point for Christmas. We plan on decorating my youngest son's room, but the big one, is our living room. The front room was last decorated about 5 or 6 years ago, and is looking dated (basically I don't like it anymore) the fireplace needs replacing and the paint work looks shocking.

I am planning on painting the walls off white, in fact the same as we used in our bedroom as I like it so much, and we are keeping our grey carpet and sofa. I am planning on grey and pink soft furnishings to tie the room together with not only the carpet, but the pale grey dining room next door and the pink hallway that leads to the living room. I want the downstairs rooms to be cohesive and flow, but still defining the different spaces.

So in true Kate fashion I have compiled an extensive wish list, some pieces being a damn sight more likely to find a home in my house than others, especially when my hubby sees the list and tells me, we don't need all that tat !! Men, they just don't get it do they?
