I think we are all guilty of this, once the nights start drawing in and the weather gets colder, we put away all our summer pinky, peach makeup and whack out the moodier, darker rusts, browns, purple and gold shades, it's like a timer goes off in our brains and we have to completely change how we have been doing our makeup for the last few months, and raid our beauty stash, it somehow makes the change to dreary weather more bearable.
So here is what I've found from the depths of my makeup collection and am embracing with all guns blazing this Autumn.
I'll start with the eyes, cause to be honest that's where my heart lies, I prefer to go hard on the eye makeup and keep my lips pretty natural hence why this post is eyeshadow heavy and only features one lipstick.
This palette comes into its own this time of year, it has a few really stunning shimmer shades which add depth and interest to any eye look, plus the staple brown matte shades and some darker more dramatic shades great for a night out.
If you haven't added the heat palette to your collection, what the hell you playing at? this palette is Autumn on steroids with the perfect mix of matte and shimmer shadows in various Autumnal shades, this for me is a must this time of year. The quality as with all Urban Decay products I have tried is insane and well worth the investment.
I love a cream eyeshadow and the Rosie for Autograph are the best ones I've tried the shade I have no longer has the name written on it but it's a gorgeous mauve shade, and looks great on its own all over the lid. I just colour in my eye lid and blend out with my finger for a super quick, lazy eye look.
When it comes to the lips I do own some darker lipsticks that I sometimes whip out but on the whole I am a natural nude lipstick girl and velvet teddy is my go to, has been for the longest time if I dunno what to wear, velvet teddy comes out.
Nail polish wise, I pretty much always wear BarryM, cause why not, they have great colours are good quality and are cheap as chips. My current favourites for Autumn are Rhubarb a gorgeous wine shade and copper mine, a shimmery copper shade these just scream Autumn to me, and will be on my fingers for the near future.
I love deep berry tones for Autumn! I think Velvet Teddy is a must all year round tbh!!
