My 2019 Resolutions

My 2019 New Year's Resolutions, plans and ideas

I'm not normally the new YEAR new ME type, but I have felt in a bit of a rut these last few weeks, like I need to DO something, CHANGE something, or GO somewhere. This has got me to thinking about 2019, and setting myself small goals, and making subtle changes to my life.

Ronny Colbie luxury candles

Ronny Colbie luxury candles

Now, I'm not gonna sit here and say, you need a luxury candle, because yeah it is a luxury, but they are nice aren't they? they do make you feel like a sophisticated grown up, who has her life together, or just me !?! giving one to a love one is a thoughtful gift, often we won't treat ourselves, but we will treat someone else.

Myths About Cutting Out Animal Products That Should Have Died Years Ago

Despite the overwhelming evidence that eating a plant-based diet is the best diet that humans can eat, popular culture is yet to catch up. And part of the problem has to do with some of the myths about eliminating animal products from your life.

These myths are deeply embedded in the culture. But, since they’re myths, they aren’t true and could be leading to real damage to your health.

When blogger besties do secret Santa with Jake shoes

It's no secret that I am a shoe lover, when I say shoe lover, I have an obscene amount of footwear, but there is always room for just one more pair. So when Jake Shoes got in touch about working on a secret santa project, I jumped at the chance. I must admit I was concerned about what choices my secret santa might make, but I needn't of worried as it turns out my secret santa was in fact my bestie Hayley from and the girl did good. In fact it's funny as we both chose Trainers for each other, in fact we both chose Van's which is spooky.

My 2018 beauty heroes

When looking back over last December's posts, it seems I went for a yearly roundup of beauty favourites rather than a monthly favourites post, to make it a tradition, I'm gonna do it again.

So here goes, my beauty heroes of 2018, the products and tools, I continue to reach for time and time again. Some came with me from last year and some are new entries in the beauty charts, but all products I have loved using this last year.

Over the knee boots a winter wardrobe essential ?

As I am typing this post, I'm cuddled up on the sofa, the christmas lights are twinkling the dog is snoring, and Home Alone is on the TV, pretty perfect, but outside let me tell you its blooming cold and my winter outfits are out in force. Including some of my favourite footwear.

There are some pieces that are worth the investment due to there sheer versatility and timeless qualities. Items that can be bought out winter after winter and for me that is the over the knee boots, pull on with a pair of skinnies for instant sass. It doesn't matter what you wear them with, a pair of over the knee boots instantly take any outfit from zero to hero!!

How to make Puff Pastry mince pies (vegan)

When its comes to festive treats in the UK, the humble mince pie has got to be one of the most consumed goodies at Christmas, with millions being eaten over the season. I must say I am pretty fussy when buying mince pies, and now I have a dairy free diet, it is even harder to buy nice shop bought cakes and pies, including mince pies. Throughout the year I have been in the kitchen making homemade  treats and decided I would do the same with the mince pie, BUT I would jazz it up a bit and use PUFF PASTRY instead.

Christmas stocking fillers

I am currently feeling quite smug that we are only just into December and we have bought most of our Christmas shopping, well all the big stuff anyway, just those little add on gifts or stocking fillers to get.

So in my ever helpful way, I have compiled a few stocking filler ideas, so if you are stuck for those little gifts, here is a little help.

Christmas stocking fillers

I have chosen cute but inexpensive gifts, hopefully things the recipient will actually use, rather than just have gathering dust in a drawer. Who can resist M&S biscuits, fluffy socks, or a cute mug.

I hope you found a little inspo in this post, let me know if you will be popping any of these in a loved ones stocking this Christmas.

Boho betty jewellery Autumn/Winter 18 collection

For me it's all in the details, what better way to change up an outfit than by adding in some jewellery, Boho Betty have some pieces with some really delicate details such as stars and tassels, in a variety of colourways and finishes. For me the stacking bracelets, make the perfect addition to any jewellery collection and of course a pretty lovely Christmas gift to, they have a tonne to choose from, I reckon you could find something that perfectly suits. They look gorgeous on there own but also worn with a watch makes for more of a statement look.
