My 2019 Resolutions


My 2019 New Year's Resolutions, plans and ideas

I'm not normally the new YEAR new ME type, but I have felt in a bit of a rut these last few weeks, like I need to DO something, CHANGE something, or GO somewhere. This has got me to thinking about 2019, and setting myself small goals, and making subtle changes to my life.


2019 resolutions


  • Eat more vegan food, I am already dairy free, for health reasons, meaning I often choose the vegan option when eating out, but I would like to cook more vegan food, and cut down on my meat consumption, maybe having vegi or vegan days every week. I love to cook but often get stuck in a rut of preparing the same meals, I think I'm gonna order myself a vegan recipe book, so watch this space for more Vegan recipe posts.
  • Read more, when I was younger I used to be a prolific reader, but in recent years, my reading habits have been quite hit and miss, but that is going to change, I am going to set myself a target and get reading, Knowledge is power.
  • Visit more places, get out more, and do more with our weekends, discover more places, near and far. Visit more cities, go to the seaside more often, take in forest walks, visit more historical buildings, find more cute coffee shops. You get the gist I want to DO more.
  • Listen to more Music and watch more Movies, I am that person, who doesn't know who sung that song, or hasn't seen that cult movie. I want to get inspired by great records, and share the joy of a great movie.
  • Go to the Theatre, take in some plays, not just going to the west end and watching a big budget show, but to my local theatre's to enjoy what local talent has to offer.
  • See my best friend more, Maybe more shopping trips, and meals out, or coffee catch ups or drinks. Just see her more and continue to have fun and share secrets.
  • Wear makeup more, I have a tonne of makeup, some barely used, I am guilty of not bothering cause I'm not doing anything, and don't get me wrong that's fine. But when I do put makeup on and make an effort with my appearance, I DO feel better about myself, and tend to be more productive with my day.

So there you have it a few simple changes, I'm planning on making from here on in. In essence I'm gonna have more FUN. What are your 2019 resolutions?

  1. I literally feel like I'd written this.. to some degree. :)
    These are all things on my 'to-do' list. I'm not diary free, however I do plan to alternate between meat eating days and more vegan-veggie friendly days. I've found the Slimming World 'green' book quite helpful. :)
    My mum used always be telling me to read more, but I never really found my way with it. I did become good a couple of, but then became lazy. It's definitely something I plan to get back onboard with. :)
