What I loved in January

Flatlay of tea, makeup and netflix

Previously I have usually posted monthly beauty favourites, BUT for 2019 that's changing, I have decided to post a round up of things, activities, pass times, experiences ect that I have loved each month. Meaning these posts will I hope be nice to look back on, to remind myself of all the positive things that have happened throughout the year. They will still of course include beauty products that I am enjoying, if that is off interest to you, but also more random products or experiences I have had.

So without further waffling;

What I loved in January

I'm gonna start off with some beauty products that have really tickled my pickle this month, you guys know I love skincare so you will not be surprised that two skincare products feature in this months favourites.

First up my go to makeup removing cleanser The body shop's Camomile cleanser butter, love love love this stuff, its effective, its quick, it lasts ages, it makes my skin clean n soft and it doesn't cost a packet and you can read my full review here if it sounds up your street.

I also love a good face mask, and peel off ones are the most satisfying, I have been enjoying Soap & Glory's What a peeling! De - Clog mask and if you like peel off masks I think you will love it, check out my post here.

Lastly for beauty products its my dream eyeshadow palette the much loved and talked about Too Faced Gingerbread spice palette, if you can get your hands on it, do!

Due to being unwell most of January, I have watched some Netflix and done a lot of reading, meaning I am keeping up with my New Year's resolutions quite nicely. When it comes to Netflix my favourite shows have been Dumplin a Netflix movie, where a plus size teenage daughter of a former beauty queen decides to enter the pageant and shake things up a bit, causing other girls to follow suit. I really enjoyed this cute easy to watch movie, with some really sweet characters and a happy ending.  If you are looking for a series to watch try Sex Education, its funny, its representative, it discusses taboo subjects and the characters draw you in. We binged all eight shows last sunday, and loved it.

Reading more was one of my resolutions this year, and so far I have read five books this month, and I'm really proud of myself, I'm not going to go into too much detail of all the books I've read as I'm planning on sharing a what I read in January post, but I will say, I think everyone needs to read The Tattooist Of Auschwitz! It's the most powerful story I have ever read, it's sometimes hard to bare because of course this is not fiction, but a true story about one of the darkest times in world history, a story we must learn from.

Last up is a clothing item and that's my Newlook leopard print jumper, AKA the fluffiest cosy jumper ever, which has hardly been off my back.

I Hope you liked my new style favourites post, please let me know in the comments anything you have been loving you think I will enjoy.
