What I Loved in February

Welcome back to my new series, what I loved in...........February, considering January lasted approximately 345678 days, February has passed in a blink of an eye, and turned out to be pretty glorious weather wise to, which is unheard of in the UK. I'm just hoping it continues, anyway here are a few of the things I have loved this month.

Being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis

Now this is not a woe is me post, I'm not writing it for sympathy, I'm writing it for me as a kind of therapy to work through my feelings. I am well aware there are plenty of people more ill than me, in more pain than me and suffering more than me, before anyone points that out, but to me, my diagnosis has been a blow.

Book review Eve of Man - Giovanna & Tom Fletcher

Eve of man - Giovanna and Tom Fletcher

When I first discovered this book, while book hunting on Amazon, I was intrigued although this is not my usual type of story. The book is set in a dystopian future, humans are dying out and the Earth is damaged beyond repair. Normally I read novels set in modern times or in an accurate factual time in history, so this book is way out of my comfort zone, but still something drew me in. I have not read anything by the authors before although I have heard good things about Giovanna's previous work and since reading this, I will be looking out for her other titles.

Who else is sick of Winter? sick of wearing five layers and still being cold, I know I am, but am not a fan of winter never have been, give me sunshine and warmth any day but for me the next best season to Summer is Spring. Spring when we can start peeling back the layers of knitwear and coats and exposing a little bit of flesh without risk of it dropping off due to frostbite. When prints get floral or striped, and fabrics get lighter and it seems animal print is here to stay, in new fresher colourways, which makes me happy.

Last year I bought my first pair of dungarees since wearing them as a child,  I picked up the black Matalan pair everyone was raving about and I became obsessed, who knew so many outfits can be put together using dungarees. Anywho fast forward to now and Matalan in their infinite wisdom have added a blue pair to their collection, as soon as I saw them I needed them in my life.

how to style dungarees for date night

We all know dungarees are a dream to wear with a t-shirt and trainers but can they be dressed up for date night?

5 diy Valentines gift ideas for long term relationships

Valentines Day, is all very well in a new relationship, splashing out on elaborate gifts or dates to impress and woo your new love, but what about those of us in longer term relationships, why should we bother? I mean he/she knows we love them right? my husband and I, are still very affectionate with each other, often holding hands and are guilty of the odd PDA, even after 11 years together.
