Trying Elf Makeup

Elf flawless finish foundation

I must admit there hasn't been much in the way of beauty content recently, apologies! I haven't bought any new beauty products for a while. Being unwell I just haven't really bothered with makeup shopping. Until my good friend Hayley from, recommended Elf foundation to me. Now I am "touch wood" turning a corner with me health, I felt like treating myself and a new affordable foundation was required in my makeup bag.

I have never tried Elf before, and I was surprised by the range and the affordability in my local Superdrug. The flawless finish foundation comes in a huge range of shades, with both pink and yellow undertones making it easy to find a shade that works me. The formula is lightweight and oil free, great for my combination skin, that has a tendency to go a little shiny. The coverage itself is medium to buildable, which did concern me as I usually wear quite light coverage, but the foundation feels light on the skin, blends out beautifully and looks natural not cakey or heavy. The packaging is stylish and has a handy pump dispenser equal to that of far more expensive brands. I really like the Elf flawless finish foundation and have worn it none stop since buying it last month.

Elf no budge shadow stick

While I was there I also picked up a no budge shadow stick in the shade Bronze metal. I love a shadow stick for quick makeup days, they are great for travelling and require zero time or skill to apply, just sweep over the lid and blend with your finger, going light or heavier depending on the look your after. Bronze metal is a great everyday bronze shade that I think will suit most eye colours. The formula is so soft and creamy and blends easily, and as the name suggests does not budge. It doesn't crease or smudge on me, in fact It's just as good as a far more expensive one I have.

I have been so impressed with both the flawless finish foundation, and the no budge shadow stick, I will defo be picking up more from Elf, I have heard great things about the 16 hour camo concealer and will be buying that for sure.

What do you recommend I try from Elf?

You can Pick up the flawless finish foundation £7.50 and the no budge shadow stick £5 from Superdrug.
