It's know secret that I am a Spring/Summer girl, dark nights and cold weather are not for me. I for one am glad to see the back of Winter and welcome Spring with open arms. I love that the days get longer and hopefully warmer, but this is the UK so it's not guaranteed, I love blossom trees, daffodils and tulips all the cliche spring things.

There is something motivating about Spring, it gets me sprucing up my home, and adding fresh flowers to my rooms. It gets me out in the garden prepping for Summer, tidying, sweeping and planting, and it gets me planning trips, holidays and days out. If it could just be Spring for a few more months of the year I would get so much more done!

When out and about my husband and I, always pack the camera, as you just never know when a photo opportunity may present itself. ( we have a Nikon D5300) My husband is the photographer of the family, and has taken some really stunning photos, just don't tell him I said that or he will get a big head....but we just never really did anything with them. That is until now, when I had the opportunity to bring our travels to life and have them made into beautiful wall art, with Jessops Photo printing service.

I couldn't believe just how many products you could have made with photos we had taken ourselves. So many ways to showcase not only the beautiful places we have visited but also decorate our home with truly unique "art".

We choose two acrylic prints for the empty wall in our living room, one taken in Amsterdam, featuring those famous tall thin crooked houses, the city is famous for. One taken of the sunset in Kos over the beach featuring the boats dragged on to the shore for the evening. Both evoke memories of good times, as well as being attractive additions to our room.

In the corner of our room we have a small area we use to store our records and record player and to that we added a scene shot in a Greek vineyard, made into a wooden plaque which adds a kind of rustic charm to the shot, and adds much needed colour and texture to that corner of the room.

And lastly we added a little bit of love to our fireplace, where we have a framed selection of Ernie our black lab with Sooty our late cat, whom we lost last year. Pets brighten our lives all year round but this Spring I have bought some precious pictures of them into our home.
