2019 reading challenge how its going so far

2019 reading challenge

Back in January I set myself my first ever reading challenge, I challenged myself to pick up a book and get reading, and get back into a pass time I had always loved but I had let slip due to one reason or another.

So how's it going you may ask?

Blooming brilliant, I originally challenged myself to 18 books for the year, but I really underestimated myself and quickly reset my target to 45 books, and five months in I've read 23 and half way through number 24, making me on course to fulfil or exceed my second target figure. Pretty good eh!!

I have read a variety of genres, from a number of authors, and some books that will stay with me. I have reads books that made me laugh, like Everything I know about Love - Dolly Alderton, books that have melted my heart like, One day in December - Josie Silver, and It felt like a kiss - Sarra Manning, books that have had me eager to turn the page like The Martian - Andy Weir and Believe me - JP Delaney, and books that have broke my heart like The Tattooist of Auschwitz. I've even started the Harry Potter series.

I am so glad I took on a reading challenge and I'm proud of what I have achieved so far and can't wait to lose myself in more stories. I have so many books I want to read, watch this space to see which books I have my nose into next.

  3. I love that you set a reading goal for yourself. You are doing a fantastic job getting half way through that goal already. I read The Martian a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. I will have to check out some of the other books that you mentioned.

  4. You're doing so well! I really need to make more time to read. I always read loads on holiday and then get the bug for it for a few months so maybe that will kickstart me xx
