What I loved in May

What I loved in May

It's time for another what I loved, May has been a busy month. So I have been trying to make extra time for me, and that's involved reading when I can, with the room scented and feeling relaxed, looking after my skin and when I'm out wearing my new favourite lipstick. It's the little things that can help us feel ourselves.

Beauty wise, you would of seen all three of these products in my getting #weddingready post, they were gifted to me for purpose of the post, and I love everyone of them. The Vichy cleanser is just amazeballs I use it along with my bodyshop Camomile cleansing balm as a second cleanse, it's perfect for sensitive skin and my face is loving it. The bareminerals blemish rescue foundation has been on my hit list for a while, and I'm so glad I tried it. It's perfect for my combination skin, giving me a natural matte ish finish, that doesn't go shiny throughout the day, is very quick to apply and also treats my skin if its not happy. Last up beauty wise who doesn't want a matte liquid lip, in a perfect pink mauve shade that lasts all day? I have been wearing to death Pixi's really rose liquid lipstick and totally recommend, the formula is not drying, the colour pay off is fab and it stays put, what's not to love.

When it comes to scenting my home I love candles and wax melts and recently discovered Pick and melt and haven't looked back. There are tonnes of scents to choose from, they offer special bundle prices and the smell these little melts give off is insane.

This month I have 2 books that made it into my favourites, The Flatshare - Beth O'leary a rom com with a serious message, and characters that you fall in love with. Well worth the hype, and The Guernsey Literary and potato peel pie society - Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Burrows a story that addresses life in Guernsey during and after the occupation of world war 2, something I didn't know much about. A beautifully written story I really loved, now I just need to watch the movie.
