My favourite affordable skincare for my combination/oily skin

My favourite affordable skincare for my combination/oily skin

I have tried numerous skincare brands and products with varying degrees of success. My combination/oily skin has of course has its ups and downs with various factors affecting how good or bad it is. Like anyone my health, medications and hormones have sometimes taken their toll on my complexion. In today's post I am sharing some of my favourite affordable skincare products that I use everyday, and have helped to stabilise my skin and keep breakouts to a minimum.

Cleansing

Recently I have found the virtues of double cleansing, that is using two cleansing products, one to remove makeup and one to thoroughly cleanse my skin. I know I'm late to the party but I do think this has really been the key to my improved skin.

Camomile cleansing butter- the body shop is my first cleanser, the balm is brilliant for melting my makeup which I then remove with a hot cloth. The second cleanser in my routine is Vichy Normaderm deep cleansing purifying gel* a gentle gel cleanser that removes any traces of balm and gives my skin a final clean, leaving it feeling clean and smooth, yet soft.

Toner

I have recently added the budget buy Aldi Lacura healthy glow exfoliating toner to my routine, before this I used Pixi glow tonic which although I loved is a pricy product that at the time of running out I couldn't afford to replace. So I picked up the Lacura toner, as originally a temporary substitution, but as I found it performed well, I continued using,  although the ingredients may not be exact they are very alike and the scent is not quite as nice, for a quarter of the price a worthy replacement for those on a budget.

Moisteriser

La roche posay effaclar duo(+) is the product I credit with clearing my skin. Effaclar duo(+) is a skin perfecter that not only helps treat and fight breakouts but moisterises my skin. Its light texture absorbs into my skin easily, leaving it soft and hydrated without being to heavy or oily.
