Where we went
August has been a pretty excellent month for me travel wise, myself and my husband, took a road trip from where we live in Norfolk upto Edinburgh. Taking in the north of England on both our way up and down. In Edinburgh we stayed in an Airbnb for 3 days to take in the fringe festival, where my son and his theatre company, performed Mr Nice Guy and also sold out on occasion. (proud parents). We visited the lake district, peak district, yorkshire and Northumberland, clocking up over a 1000 miles in a week, but seeing some amazing countryside and plenty of hills on the way, something we are not used to to in flat Norfolk. All in all a great few days, and something we would do again in a heartbeat.
A new pet
Even though this happened right near the end of the month, a highlight has been bringing home our new kitten Eddie, who we rehomed with the help of Cats Protection, those guys do some really great work and Eddie has already made himself at home, we have all fallen in love with him, even Ernie our lab has taken to him.

My favourite fashion item in August has defo been my dalmation print midi dress from Next, which I have worn to death. It's so comfy, easy to wear and looks great, for me it's my favourite purchase I have made in a while. Affiliate link

I picked up a few bits from ,
including Pixi glow tonic a long term favourite of mine, I have used cheaper dupe products but when I have the money I always go back to Pixi as I just love this product. Another old favourite that has made its way back into my collection and heart is Maybelline lash sensation mascara, such a great lengthening and thickening mascara and a bargain to boot.
