In 2020 Interiors and home decor are a big deal, everyone is interested in having a comfortable yet stylish home. Home decor has become fashionable and is no longer a niche market. There are a huge number of interior and lifestyle accounts on social media, so now we can see how other people furnish their homes and easily get inspiration for our own interiors.
For me the most important room in our homes to get right is our bedroom. It's easy to neglect a space that visitors do not see, but an attractive and comfortable bedroom can make all the difference to our well being. Our bedroom should be a sanctuary, a safe place to retreat to at the end of the day.
2020 Bedroom trends
Unsurprisingly bedroom trends tend to centre around the bed, the focal point of any bedroom and paramount to a decent night's sleep. In 2020 Upholstered beds are quickly becoming popular as are suede and chenille beds. Upholstered beds, whatever the fabric choice offer a more luxurious feel to a room than a standard divan or wooden framed bed. Giving us that hotel room vibe in our bedrooms at home. As for colourways grey is huge, there are whole instagram accounts dedicated to a grey interior. If you don't want to take it that far grey is still a great option for a bed as it offers a classic look, and goes with pretty much any decor. Whether you like a modern or a more traditional design to your bedroom.
A chenille scroll bed would be my dream bed, for me they are such a luxurious design and instantly look expensive and sophisticated, it would look great in an understated bedroom with simple decor where it is aloud to be the star of the show. I'm thinking crisp white bedding and a panelled wall behind the bed to really make an elegant statement.
Do you have any plans for your home in 2020?

I feel like the bedroom often gets neglected in most households (including my own) and it shouldn't. I want to make my bedroom into a relaxing space instead of just using it as a storage room. I love panelled walls behind the bed! I think it looks so classy ♡ Great post!
ReplyDeleteThank you. i'm so into that panelled look at the moment, I want to get it in my home somewhere x
