Layering up the bed for a cosy calm feel this Autumn

Now we are over half way through September, although it's mild now, October is only a couple of weeks away and with that comes cooler weather and dark evenings. Autumn is a time when I start to add to my decor with seasonal pieces and all the blankets. The bedroom is no exception, although I like to keep my room fairly plain and neutral as I like it to be a relaxing space, I do like to start layering up the bed with coordinating throws or blankets, while still keeping the room calm and simple.

A perfect way to do this is with crisp white bedding, white goes with everything, so whatever colour throw you choose it will work. It also leaves you open to changing up accessories seasonally or when you get bored.

A throw or bedspread not only looks luxurious thrown over the end of your bed but is also practical, protecting your white sheets from pets or for adding another layer on cold nights.

Dusk have a great blog post all about styling your bed and white bedding.
They have a large range of white bedding along with throws, the quality is lovely the sheets feel so soft , (that will be the 400 cotton thread count ) and cosy to sleep under, and really upgrade my room to a calm grown up space, that even Ernie approves off.

If you are looking to upgrade your bedding, check out Dusk I have been blown away by the quality, yet the price still remains really competitive.

  1. This looks so cosy. One of my favourite things about autumn is lots of cosy throws and blankets
